BLUF:
Former White House staffer Michael Anton presented a frightening scenario three days ago in The American Mind. Determined to oust the President, even if they lose the election, Democrats have “war gamed” plans to pull off a coup d’etat. Anton explains:

“Remember that phrase from the Dem war game: “street fight.” In other words, a repeat of this summer, only much, much bigger. Crank the propaganda to ear-drum shattering decibels and fill the streets of every major city with “protesters.” Shut down the country and allow only one message to be heard: “Trump must go.”

Criminal street gangs may prove to be a highly valuable force multiplier for the Left Army around this coming election.  And they will be active in more cities than Chicago.  Count on it.

Urban Criminal Gangs in the Civil War to Come.

On September 2, the New York Post featured a news story headlined “FBI warns Chicago gangs have ‘shoot on sight’ pact against cops.” The FBI warned that, “Dozens of Chicago street gangs have made a pact to ‘shoot on-sight any cop that has a weapon drawn on any subject in public.’ ” These street gangs include “the Vice Lords, Black P Stones and Latin Kings,” that have a combined membership of several tens of thousands.

Even before this “pact” among criminal gangs was agreed upon, lethal attacks on Chicago policemen were up significantly this year. The Post cites Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown that it was clear “people are seeking to do harm to cops.” Continue reading “”

This is the ‘reported’ 3rd primary election messed up by mail-in voting. The question arises; So just how many more are just as messed up, but they’re trying to sweep it under the carpet?

1,000 people double-voted in Georgia primary, says secretary of state

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced Tuesday that about 1,000 Georgians face investigation for voting twice in the state’s June 9 primary, a large-scale allegation of fraud eight weeks before Election Day.

These voters returned absentee ballots and then also showed up at polling places on election day, Raffensperger said. Double-voting is a felony in Georgia.

“A double-voter knows exactly what they’re doing, diluting the votes of each and every voter that follows the law,” Raffensperger said during a press conference at the state Capitol. “Those that make the choice to game the system are breaking the law. And as secretary of state, I will not tolerate it.”

The investigation follows a chaotic primary where record numbers of voters cast absentee ballots during the coronavirus pandemic. Some voters who weren’t sure whether their absentee ballots would be received before election day decided to vote in person to ensure their votes would count.

Voters are allowed to cancel their absentee ballots and then vote at polling places as long as their ballots haven’t yet been received by election officials. It’s unclear whether the voters under investigation attempted to do so. Continue reading “”

BLUF:
On the surface, counting all the mail-in votes makes sense. But that assumes good faith. The pre-announced multi-week delay, however, is not in good faith, it’s buying time for mischief.

Facebook’s Zuckerberg: We need to prepare the public for days and weeks counting mail-in ballots
Fits in neatly with Democrat post-Election Day doomsday warnings: “what we and the other media need to start doing is preparing the american people that there is nothing illegitimate about this election taking additional days or weeks to make sure all the votes are counted.”

Democrats are laying the foundation for weeks of post-Election Day intrigue, protests, and maneuvers to defeat Trump by claiming that whatever else happens on Election Day, Biden will win when the surge of mail-in ballots is counted.

Thus, if Trump appears to have win on Election Night into the following early morning, it will be illegitimate. Biden will win, we just need to count all the mail-in ballots, the argument goes, no matter how long it takes, even if it’s weeks or longer. That will set the stage for fights by Democrats to count late and non-compliant ballots in Democrat areas, and a mad rush to courthouses around the country to find a judge who will order such ballots to be counted. It’s a Straight Line from Biden to BLM

The devil made me do it!” That was how funnyman Flip Wilson explained away his rogue moves in 1970s comedy bits. In 2020, it is Joe Biden’s rationalization of the Black Lives Matter revolution, with Baal taking on a decidedly orange cast.

An unmistakable correlation between the radical Left’s extortionate violence and the sudden tightening of polls has stirred the Democrats’ senescent standard-bearer to bolt the basement. He’d hoped to wait another week or so before emerging to read short speeches about President Trump’s erratic handling of COVID-19 (the government’s missteps during the Obama-era swine flu pandemic having apparently slipped Biden’s mind). But he’s got a tiger by the tail in the radical Left, which is turning electoral battlegrounds into smoldering battlefields. So now he’s hustling into the hustings with a narrative about what’s motivating his fellow travelers — who have just added murder to the mayhem they’ve wrought on America’s streets for the past three months.

That was the upshot of the former vice president’s speech in Pittsburgh on Monday. “Are you safe in Trump’s America?” His argument lays at the incumbent president’s feet the upheaval instigated by Democratic supporters in Democrat-run cities. In a weekend warm-up as the flames continued to rise in Portland, Minneapolis, and Kenosha, Biden claimed it is Trump who is “fanning the flames of hate.” By Monday, Biden was roaring about how, on Trump’s watch, the murder rate is up 26 percent in the nation’s cities this year (a shift from Democratic messaging of five minutes ago, which said surging crime was nothing to be concerned about because crime is still historically low — thanks to policing policies Democrats oppose, because, you know, racism).

As Rich Lowry relates, this is the Left’s blame-shifting response to violence from within its own ranks, which it lacks the will to counter. It is Trump supporters, we are told, who are “recklessly encouraging violence.” You could set your watch by it (if we still set watches): The Democratic nominee offered up the cartoon version of Trump backers, calling out “right-wing militias, white supremacists and vigilantes” as the worrisome “extremists.” And you could set your watch by this, too: no mention by Biden of the Marxist iconoclasts, the menacing Black Lives Matter activists, and the insurrectionist Antifa arsonists who are actually and quite deliberately tearing the country apart.

Exactly how are the Trump deplorables to blame? How are they instigating the violence that Biden now “unequivocally” condemns (after remaining largely mum, while his running mate, Senator Kamala Harris, was promoting a fund to bail out rioters)?

Why, by saying things that offend the Left’s hair-trigger sensibilities, that’s how. Continue reading “”

BLUF:
If there is a conspiracy to remove President Trump from office even if he wins, they’re telling you about it precisely to get you ready for it, so that when it happens you won’t think it was a conspiracy; you’ll blame the president.
Don’t be fooled.

The Coming Coup?

Democrats are laying the groundwork for revolution right in front of our eyes.

As if 2020 were not insane enough already, we now have Democrats and their ruling class masters openly talking about staging a coup. You might have missed it, what with the riots, lockdowns and other daily mayhem we’re forced to endure in this, the most wretched year of my lifetime. But it’s happening.

It started with the military brass quietly indicating that the troops should not follow a presidential order. They were bolstered by many former generals—including President Trump’s own first Secretary of Defense—who stated openly what the brass would only hint at. Then, as nationwide riots really got rolling in early June, the sitting Secretary of Defense himself all but publicly told the president not to invoke the Insurrection Act. His implicit message was: “Mr. President, don’t tell us to do that, because we won’t, and you know what happens after that.”
All this enthused Joe Biden, who threw subtlety to the winds. The former United States Senator (for 26 years) and Vice President (for eight) has not once, not twice, but thrice confidently asserted that the military will “escort [Trump] from the White House with great dispatch” should the president refuse to leave. Another former Vice President, Al Gore, publicly agreed.

One might dismiss such comments as the ravings of a dementia patient and a has-been who never got over his own electoral loss. But before you do, consider also this. Over the summer a story was deliberately leaked to the press of a meeting at which 100 Democratic grandees, anti-Trump former Republicans, and other ruling class apparatchiks got together (on George Soros’s dime) to “game out” various outcomes of the 2020 election. One such outcome was a clear Trump win. In that eventuality, former Bill Clinton White House Chief of Staff John Podesta, playing Biden, refused to concede, pressured states that Trump won to send Democrats to the formal Electoral College vote, and trusted that the military would take care of the rest. What Democrat Control of the Senate Means for Gun Control

Last week, President Trump claimed the election will determine the future of private gun ownership in the United States. On Saturday, the NRA tweeted out that a Biden win “will destroy our Second Amendment.”

They are right. If Democrats gain control, Joe Biden and Senate Democrats promise a radical change in the Senate by eliminating the filibuster, which will allow them to pass any legislation that they want with a simple majority vote.

This year, the Democrat’s convention platform is focused on a radical gun control agenda. It advocates licensing for gun owners, allowing gun makers to be held liable whenever someone uses a gun to commit a crime or cause an accident, and banning some types of semi-automatic guns based on appearance rather than on function.

But the Senate won’t just determine what gun control legislation gets passed — it will also determine what judges get confirmed. And there are few issues that divide Democrat and Republican-appointed judges more consistently and completely than gun control.

President Trump’s 53 federal circuit court confirmations have only just brought the courts into balance, with Democrat-appointees still controlling circuit courts for 24 states plus DC. The DC circuit court is considered the second most important court after the Supreme Court.

The states Democrats control judicially are ones that they also tend to control legislatively. These circuit courts approve any and all of the gun control regulations that get passed, no matter how flagrantly they infringe on the right to keep and bear arms. Continue reading “”

Massachusetts 4th Congressional District: Thousands of ballots found in Franklin, Jesse Mermell’s campaign solicits recount signatures

A recount could be looming in the 4th Congressional District race between two Democrats as more uncounted ballots surfaced on Thursday.

Officials in Newton, Wellesley and Franklin on Thursday restarted counting primary ballots after Secretary of the Commonwealth William Galvin filed a court order to authorize local poll workers to continue counting ballots that were received on time and had not been tallied by the end of Tuesday night.

In Franklin, poll workers Thursday evening were counting about 3,000 uncounted ballots — much more than the previously estimated 600 uncounted ballots, according to a spokeswoman for the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s Office.

The newly discovered 3,000 uncounted ballots were mail-in votes that appeared to have never made it to polling locations on Election Day. Continue reading “”

Prof. Biden Claims ‘a Black Man Invented the Light Bulb, Not a White Guy Named Edison.’

Joe Biden, who claims he wants to fact-check Donald Trump in real time during the presidential debates, told a real whopper on Thursday during his visit to Kenosha.

“People fear that’s, which, that which is different. We gotta, for example, why in God’s name don’t we teach history in history classes? A black man invented the light bulb, not a white guy named Edison.”

Fact check: False.

Make no mistake about it, Thomas Edison invented the light bulb. Joe Biden presumably was referring to Lewis H. Latimer, a former slave who worked as a researcher under Edison, who, three years after Edison patented the incandescent light bulb, patented a more efficient way of manufacturing carbon filaments, which were used in Edison’s bulb design. Fake internet rumors have been circulating for some time now suggesting that Latimer is the actual inventor of the light bulb and even the telephone.

Apparently, fake internet rumors are where Joe Biden gets his history lessons.

And the Left wonders why we don’t like them tearing down statues. When they’re not destroying history, they’re trying to rewrite it.

Just one more indication that SloJoe’s handlers know he is mentally incapable of dealing with much of anything more than a carefully scripted appearance with prepared questions and rehearsed answers.

KENOSHA RESIDENT AT BIDEN TOWN HALL: ‘I WAS TOLD TO GO OFF THIS PAPER’

EXCERPT:

BENNETT: “Hello, my name is Portia Bennett. I’m just going to be honest, Mr. Biden. I was told to go off this paper, but I can’t. You need the truth and I’m part of the truth. I was born here, raised here, first 8th grade class at the school that was named after his mother. So, I have to give you the truth of the people. And the truth of the matter is, we are heavily angry. Not angry as to where people say, oh, they’re protesting. There’s a difference between a protester and a rioter. A very big difference. We protest to get our voices heard. We protest to show that not just blacks are tired of what’s going on. As you can see, there are blacks, whites, Muslims, Chinese, Hispanics that are out there.”

BLUF:
What is the significance of all this?

Democrats are going to try to steal the election after Election Day. The way they tried to steal Florida 2000 through selective recounting until the Supreme Court stopped them. If Trump is far ahead on Election Day, there will be pitched battles in swing states to count ballots in Democrat areas that arrive late or that don’t comply with the rules, and to disqualify valid ballots in Republican areas. The “Red Mirage” theory is the excuse to try.

Having spent four years perfecting resistance litigation against Trump, there is little doubt that Democrats will try to find a judge somewhere somehow who will issue an injunction or other relief to enable this theft to take place. Such relief may not ultimately prevail, but it will further the chaos.

I don’t think we’ll get to a situation where we have to figure out what the Presidential Succession Act of 1947 means in such a situation. Because if we do, and there is no elected President by January 20, 2021, then hell will already have broken loose not because of a Red Mirage, but because of post-Election Day mischief.

“The Red Mirage” theory provides the justification for Democrat mischief post Election Day

The Red Mirage theory, that Trump will have a significant lead on Election Night, but will lose when mail-in ballots are counted, is the excuse for Democrats to spend weeks trying to count ballots in Democrat areas that arrive late or that don’t comply with the rules, and to disqualify valid ballots in Republican areas.

Last month I warned about post-Election Day chaos and civil unrest if the election is close, If the November election is close, expect bad things due to a surge of mail-in ballots.

That likelihood was a combination of the surge of mail-in ballots mostly from Biden supporters, normal delays in delivery of mail-in ballots (having nothing to do with the insane conspiracy theories leveled against Trump), and the high percentage of mail-in ballots that have been disqualified as non-compliant in Democrat primaries so far this year. Joe Biden Chickens Out, Decides Not to Go to Kenosha

Late last week it was reported that Joe Biden was going to leave his dungeon and travel to Wisconsin. This was supposed to be a moment of leadership in which he showed up to calm the seas of rioting that have been roiling following the likely justified shooting of Jacob Blake. It was also going serve as a kind of mental proof of life, indicating that Biden can actually get out on the campaign trail if needed.

Well, so much for that. Biden has decided to retreat and will instead make the much shorter trip over to Pennsylvania to deliver his remarks.

If Biden thinks Trump visiting the city he’s brought calm to with the National Guard is going to “backfire,” his advisors are letting him down. Kenosha was on fire until Gov. Evers’ hand was forced and he accepted help from the White House. Trump absolutely gets to own the success there and Biden going would have seemed a little ridiculous at this point.

Despite that, Democrats are not happy that Biden won’t be traveling to one of the key states from the 2016 election, at least according to the Politico reporter above. Apparently, they expect him to be an actual presidential candidate, something he’s clearly not capable of.

As an aside, I had to chuckle at this caveat put in the article.

However, before Trump made that call, Democratic Gov. Tony Evers had already sent some National Guard troops to the city and then increased the deployment.

Yes, Evers sent a woefully inadequate number which accomplished nothing until Trump came in with overwhelming force. The initial deployments were so bad that the city council sent a letter calling out the governor. Seeing Politico try to give Evers credit for his weakness is a bit rich.

Regardless, as I said, Biden simply can’t be the candidate the left wants him to be. He can’t barnstorm the campaign trail like Trump is getting ready to do. He can barely get out of his basement once a week at this point and he refuses to do any tough interviews. He’s had only two press conferences in the last four months. This man is a walking empty suit that Democrats hope they can just shove across the finish line.

I’ll end by saying that as a political matter, there’s just no way Biden is going to be able to turn the rioting around on Trump. People have eyes and they recognize that those committing the destruction are all Joe Biden voters. Sure, they might have originally been Bernie Bros, but they are all Democrats who want to remove Trump from office. Trying to paint Trump as responsible for Democrat politicians who refuse his help is not going to work.

Confessions of voter fraud: I was a master at fixing mail-in ballots

A top Democratic operative says voter fraud, especially with mail-in ballots, is no myth. And he knows this because he’s been doing it, on a grand scale, for decades.

Mail-in ballots have become the latest flashpoint in the 2020 elections. While President Trump and the GOP warn of widespread manipulation of the absentee vote that will swell with COVID polling restrictions, many Democrats and their media allies have dismissed such concerns as unfounded.

But the political insider, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he fears prosecution, said fraud is more the rule than the exception. His dirty work has taken him through the weeds of municipal and federal elections in Paterson, Atlantic City, Camden, Newark, Hoboken and Hudson County and his fingerprints can be found in local legislative, mayoral and congressional races across the Garden State. Some of the biggest names and highest office holders in New Jersey have benefited from his tricks, according to campaign records The Post reviewed.

“An election that is swayed by 500 votes, 1,000 votes — it can make a difference,” the tipster said. “It could be enough to flip states.”

The whistle blower — whose identity, rap sheet and long history working as a consultant to various campaigns were confirmed by The Post — says he not only changed ballots himself over the years, but led teams of fraudsters and mentored at least 20 operatives in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania — a critical 2020 swing state. Joe Biden, a Moral Colossus

Norman Mailer used to say, when he was upright, that Americans tend to admire their politicians, if for nothing else, for getting older. That, I think, explains the nomination for president of the United States of former Vice President Joe Biden. He did not only get older; he got ancient. He is almost an antique.

If he is elected president this autumn, he will be the oldest man to ever be elected. He will come into the White House even older than Ronald Reagan was when Reagan left office. The American people watched Reagan struggle with colon cancer, skin cancer, a prostate operation and an intermittent hobbling in his right leg, to say nothing of an assassin’s bullet. I called the old cowboy one tough hombre. His Democratic opponents called him a boob. So did the mainstream media. Through Reagan’s economic revival of the country and victory in the Cold War, the Democrats still called him a boob. So did the media. Reagan’s enemies call the winner of the Cold War and the reviver of the American economy a boob. What do they call Joe Biden?

Well, the Democrats could call him a plagiarist. He has been caught plagiarizing many times. Most famously, he plagiarized from a speech given by the British politician Neil Kinnock. That instance of thievery forced him to pull out of the 1988 race for the White House. He also plagiarized from the work of Robert Kennedy and John Kennedy. More recently, Joe plagiarized, we are told by Reagan speechwriter Ken Khachigian, from a speech given by Reagan years ago. Joe has also been called gaff-prone. He is the most gaffe-prone politician in modern times. Finally, he has been called a cheat. Starting with his law schoolwork back the 1960s, and going right up to recent years in his dealings with the Russians, he has been called a cheat. Joe, a proven plagiarist and a cheat, is now running for president as a moral paragon. How is the thing possible?

Last week, the Democrats, in convention assembled — or should we say, in convention disassembled — nominated him to lead their ticket in the contest for the highest office in the land. As Norman used to say, the American people admire their politicians, if for nothing else, for getting older. Given his age alone, Joe might well be the most admired politician in America.

Yet I think he is going to lose. The country is wracked by protests. They are occurring, as President Donald Trump reminds us, mostly in blue-state municipalities: in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Portland, Portland, Portland, night after night, Portland. The scenes we are seeing are of looting; the “protesters” bring rental trucks right up to the gutted stores. This has never been witnessed in America before. The “protestors” loot giant department stores, and they loot stores owned by the little fellows. This is presumably called looting for social justice. They burn churches. They topple statues — Frederick Douglass, George Washington, even the man who beat the Confederacy, Ulysses S. Grant.

One of their rallying calls is, “Defund the police.” The cities are overrun by rampant crime — looting, murder and violence — and their mayors claim that they will pacify the cities by cutting back on police forces. There is a whiff of 1920s Weimar, Germany, to this.

Yet, at the Democratic convention last week, not one word about the chaos in the streets was uttered. No word about the statues being destroyed. No word about the rioting in the streets. Nothing about the poor people who have lost their stores and, in some instances, their lives. This is amazing. I thought the Democrats were the party of compassion and caring. The Democrats opened their hearts to George Floyd. Why did they not also open their hearts to David Dorn, the retired police officer who was guarding a friend’s pawn shop from looters when he was shot dead, or any of the other victims of criminal violence?

Now the Democrats expect to elect the gaff-prone Joe Biden — a proven plagiarist, a cheat and, this comes with his profile, a liar — to the highest office in the land. I think not. Joe will be defeated Nov. 3. I expressed similar sentiments about Hillary Clinton in 2016. Was I wrong?

My only question is, Who will the Democrats blame their defeat on this time? They might as well blame the protesters in the street.

Can the demoncraps do anything more to admit that they know SloJoe doesn’t have what it takes? Everyone demand the live debates just for the entertainment value.

Kamala Harris, Not Feeble Basement-Dwelling Joe Biden, Will Travel to DC to Deliver Counter to President Trump’s Convention Speech

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) will deliver a speech Thursday to counter President Trump’s remarks at the Republican National Convention formally accepting the GOP presidential nomination.

Harris, the Democratic Party’s vice presidential nominee, will speak in Washington, D.C., “on President Trump’s failures to contain COVID-19 and protect working families from the economic fallout” and the “Biden-Harris plan to contain COVID-19 and build a different path forward in America,” former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign said in a press release.

Trump is planning to give his speech Thursday from the White House lawn, and Harris’s remarks will serve as the Democratic Party’s main counter to his appearance. Continue reading “”

Canvassers demand answers after 72% of Detroit’s absentee ballot counts were off

Recorded ballot counts in 72% of Detroit’s absentee voting precincts didn’t match the number of ballots cast, spurring officials in Michigan’s largest county to ask the state to investigate ahead of a pivotal presidential election.

Without an explanation from Detroit election workers for the mismatches, the Wayne County Board of Canvassers requested this week for Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s office to examine the “training and processes” used in Detroit’s Aug. 4 primary, which one official described as a “perfect storm” of challenges. The board is charged with certifying election results.

In 46% of all Detroit’s precincts — absentee and Election Day — vote counts were out of balance, according to information presented Tuesday to the Wayne County Board of Canvassers. Specifically, the number of ballots tracked in precinct poll books did not match the number of ballots counted. Continue reading “”

demoncrap hypocrites, but I repeat myself

That kind of double talk won’t shake the commitment of most Jewish Democrats to vote against Trump. But it does give the lie to the claims that Biden opposes anti-Semitism while Trump supports it. Of course, that smear had no validity anyway since Trump has repeatedly condemned anti-Semitism, has done more to fight it on college campuses than any president and has led the most pro-Israel administration in the country’s history.

Biden can’t have it both ways on Sarsour and anti-Semitism
After a spokesman distanced the Democrat from a prominent anti-Semite who spoke during their convention, others in the campaign apologized to her supporters.

One of the major talking points for Democrats in 2020 has been their attempt to link President Donald Trump to anti-Semitism. That effort intensified during the Democrat’s virtual nominating convention when, at least during the primetime segments, the emphasis was on blasting Trump as an ally of extremists and putting forward Joe Biden as a model of decency. In order to make that charge stick, Democrats have made dubious claims about Trump’s dog-whistling to right-wing anti-Semites while ignoring problems in their own party.

But while the prime time schedule made the case for Biden as a centrist, the DNC’s daytime events shown online were aimed at the party’s grassroots activists. That meant a steady diet of political extremism designed to appease a left-wing base that is enthusiastic about defeating Trump, but not excited about Biden. And it is the aftermath of one such dose of radicalism — a speech given by former Women’s March leader and BDS activist Linda Sarsour — that is calling into question the sincerity of the Biden campaign’s rhetoric about Israel and anti-Semitism.

Sarsour spoke at the DNC’s Muslim Delegate Assembly last week. When it was pointed out that her presence on the schedule contradicted the Democratic campaign’s stance against anti-Semitism, a Biden spokesman denounced Sarsour and distanced the candidate from her. Continue reading “”

Now, the question that comes to mind is whether or not the demoncraps, knowing this  ( they having no excuse not to know ) are intentionally planning on using the resulting chaos to further their own political plans.

We Have All The Evidence We Need That Universal Mail-In Voting Would Be a Disaster.

Last week, House Democrats passed a $25 billion bailout of the U.S. Postal Service that they say is necessary to help get them ready for the massive influx of mail-in ballots expected in the November election. They also aim to block various efforts they believe are being done to undermine the postal service, but are actually longstanding cost-saving measures to make the postal service more efficient.

President Trump and Republicans have repeatedly warned that universal mail-in voting would be a disaster. This year, we’ve seen several elections done via mail that resulted in significant problems either due to voter error, counting issues, missing ballots, or outright fraud.

Universal mail-in voting proponents on the left point to states that have been doing vote-by-mail for years as proof it can be done nationwide, but this simply isn’t the case.

“New proponents of mail balloting don’t often understand how it actually works,” says Public Interest Legal Foundation President and PJ Media contributor J. Christian Adams. “States like Oregon and Washington spent many years building their mail voting systems and are notably aggressive with voter list maintenance efforts. Pride in their own systems does not somehow transfer across state lines. Nevada, New York, and others are not and will not be ready for November.”

With just over two months before the presidential election, no amount of money could get the USPS ready for a universal mail-in election.

A secure and reliable national mail-in voting system would take years to develop. There has been enough evidence this year alone that should have ended this debate for the 2020 election and it’s about time for the left to open their eyes and see that problems with mail-in voting are happening in different states nationwide. Here are some examples of those mail-in voting failures. Continue reading “”

In addition to allegations of fraud, more than 24% of ballots were rejected for failing to meet the standard for mail-in ballots. No other municipal election that day had a rejection rate higher than 13%, according to the ruling.

Judge invalidates Paterson, NJ, city council election after allegations of mail-in voter fraud

 — A New Jersey judge invalidated a city council election and ordered a new one after allegations of voter fraud, according to a ruling issued Wednesday.

The May 12 election for Paterson’s Third Ward city council was “rife with mail in vote procedural violations,” Judge Ernest Caposela said in his ruling, though he left the decision on whether there was voter fraud to the criminal courts.

President Donald Trump’s campaign and Republicans have grasped onto the election problems in Paterson as they argue against a plan from New Jersey’s Democratic governor to have universal vote-by-mail. They say the fraud in the city race forebodes fraud in November.

Paterson’s mayor heralded the ruling. Continue reading “”
