Special Counsel Robert Hur to Testify Publicly on Biden Age & Memory Issues<\/a><\/p>\n

Special Counsel Robert Hur is preparing to be grilled by House lawmakers over his recent damning report that highlighted serious concerns with Democrat President Joe Biden\u2019s age and mental fitness.<\/p>\n

As Slay News\u00a0reported, Hur last week released his report on his investigations into Biden\u2019s mishandling of classified documents.<\/p>\n

While the conclusion of the report was already controversial, it was Hur\u2019s rationale for not pursuing charges against Biden that caused the biggest stir.<\/p>\n

Hur noted in his report that Biden struggled with basic questions during interviews, specifically regarding key elements of his own life.<\/p>\n

According to the report, Biden couldn\u2019t remember what year he left the vice presidential office or even when his son Beau died.<\/p>\n

The special counsel concluded that a jury wouldn\u2019t convict Biden once they realize he\u2019s an \u201celderly man with a poor memory.\u201d<\/p>\n

The report compounds voters\u2019 long-held concerns about the president\u2019s age and obvious mental decline.<\/p>\n

Hur\u2019s testimony, expected to land in early March, would likely be before the House Judiciary Committee, Axios reported Thursday.<\/p>\n

Republican lawmakers will surely hone in on the various examples of\u00a0Biden\u2019s unreliable memory contained in the report.<\/p>\n

The testimony will also offer Hur the chance to clear up questions that have been raised after the report\u2019s release.<\/p>\n

Biden, for instance, suggested Hur\u2019s team asked him directly about Beau\u2019s death following the release of the report.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow in the hell dare he raise that?\u201d Biden\u00a0yelled during a train wreck press conference\u00a0he called just hours after the report was released.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrankly, when I was asked the question, I thought to myself, it wasn\u2019t any of their damn business.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, a Wednesday report from NBC News stated that it was, in fact, Biden who brought up Beau during the interview, not Hur.<\/p>\n

The White House was quick to push back on news of Hur\u2019s testimony on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Biden and the Democrats are now pushing the narrative that Hur has a political agenda, despite the special counsel being appointed by the president\u2019s Justice Department.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Hur mounts his campaign, there will be another story to tell \u2014 of Hur and his deputy being two aggressive political prosecutors from the Trump administration who decided to gun for Biden in an election year for their own political futures as Republicans,\u201d a White House spokesman told Axios.<\/p>\n

News of Hur\u2019s testimony comes just days after a Reuters\/Ipsos poll found that a majority of Americans, 53%, believe\u00a0Biden received \u201cspecial treatment\u201d\u00a0during Hur\u2019s investigation.<\/p>\n

While Hur noted Biden\u2019s memory issues in his report, he declined to recommend charges against the president for mishandling documents.<\/p>\n

He cited Biden age and health as\u00a0reasons not to pursue charges.<\/p>\n

Biden\u2019s age and mental capacity have long been top issues for voters.<\/p>\n

Polls have found that a large majority of Americans believe he is too old to run for office.<\/p>\n

The Reuters\/Ipsos poll showed that roughly 78% of respondents said he is too old to serve a second term.<\/p>\n

71% of Democrats also hold that position.<\/p>\n
