The bill will now be sent to the House Committee of the Whole.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/leg.colorado.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/2024A\/bills\/2024a_1270_01.pdf\">House Bill 24-1270<\/a>\u00a0requires firearm owners to maintain a liability insurance policy that covers losses or damages to a person, other than the policyholder, who is injured on the insured property as a result of any accidental or unintentional discharge of the firearm.<\/p>\n<p>Also yesterday,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/leg.colorado.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/2024A\/bills\/2024a_066_ren.pdf\">Senate Bill 24-066<\/a>\u00a0was passed by for the day.\u00a0 SB24-066 allows credit companies and payment processors to use merchant category codes (MCC) to track credit card purchases of firearms, firearm accessories, and ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>We will continue to monitor these bills and alert you when action is needed.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, if you have not already, share this important alert with your family, friends, fellow sportsmen and gun owners, please do. \u00a0The Centennial State needs all its sportsmen and gun owners actively working together to ensure the survival of our hunting, fishing, and trapping heritage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Sportsmen\u2019s Alliance<\/strong>: The Sportsmen\u2019s Alliance protects and defends America\u2019s wildlife conservation programs and the pursuits \u2013 hunting, fishing and trapping \u2013 that generate the money to pay for them.
