Americans Stock Up on Firearms in Response to Biden\u2019s Pushes for Gun Control<\/a><\/p>\n American citizens are stocking up on firearms as Democrat President Joe Biden ramps up pressure to strip them of their Second Amendment rights, according to a new report.<\/p>\n A bombshell study from a pro-gun group found that so-called \u201chigh-capacity magazines,\u201d often defined by liberals as magazines with more than 10 rounds, are extremely common despite the efforts of Biden to demonize them.<\/p>\n In fact, the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) discovered that Americans collectively own 700 million magazines with a greater capacity than 10 rounds, a new\u00a0report<\/a>\u00a0shows.<\/p>\n Biden\u2019s extreme anti-gun rhetoric, especially his comments about the futility of an American militia\u00a0against a standing army<\/a>, have not helped calm the nerves of millions of Americans who see gun ownership as the last defense against tyranny.<\/p>\n But Biden has a tall task indeed if he wants to get Americans to forfeit their firearms.<\/p>\n The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) found that 46 percent of detachable magazines owned by Americans are rifle magazines with a capacity of over 30 rounds.<\/p>\n The findings are a stinging rebuke of Biden\u2019s alarmist gun rhetoric, which often paints \u201cassault weapons\u201d and high-capacity magazines as dangerous and unusual \u201cweapons of war.\u201d<\/p>\n In a statement, NSSF Senior Vice President & General Counsel Lawrence G. Keane said:<\/p>\n \u201cThe data establishes that law-abiding gun owners overwhelmingly choose magazines that have the capacity to hold more than ten rounds for lawful purposes including self-defense, target shooting, and hunting.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Biden has struggled to push his agenda against a wave of pro-gun court rulings that have been handed down since a landmark Supreme Court ruling in 2022 upholding the Second Amendment.<\/p>\n A judge in Washington state last week rejected a ban\u00a0on high-capacity magazines as\u00a0<\/a>unconstitutional, in just the latest setback for gun control.<\/p>\n Biden also has limited power to pass gun control through a divided Congress.<\/p>\n The situation has led the president to leverage the bully pulpit and the executive pen as much as possible.<\/p>\n Last week, Biden issued a sweeping executive order\u00a0cracking down on gun sellers with more<\/a>\u00a0expansive background checks.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve spent hours with families who\u2019ve lost loved ones to gun violence,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cThey all have the same message: \u2018Do something.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cToday, my Administration is taking action to make sure fewer guns are sold without background checks,\u201d Biden added.<\/p>\n Ironically, Biden\u2019s own son is facing criminal charges for lying about his drug use to purchase a pistol.<\/p>\n A federal judge\u00a0denied<\/a>\u00a0Hunter Biden\u2019s request to drop the case earlier this month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" It does make you wonder if the demoncraps aren’t actually invested in gun manufacturers.
