Woke Soros-Funded Oakland DA Pamela Price Will Face Recall Vote After Nearly 80,000 Signed Petition to Oust Her Over Soaring Crime in Dem-Led City<\/a><\/p>\n

Progressive Oakland District Attorney Pamela Price is set to\u00a0face a recall after just 15 months<\/a><\/span>, with a mass movement to get rid of her getting enough signatures over the soaring\u00a0crime<\/a><\/span>\u00a0rate in the area.<\/p>\n

Alameda County DA Price has been\u00a0under pressure\u00a0over the soaring levels of\u00a0crime<\/a><\/span>\u00a0in the Bay Area city, with a recall effort she has claimed is ‘financed by billionaires’ and based in ‘hatred and racism’ gaining momentum.<\/p>\n

Price herself has taken over $1 million from three political action committees funded by left-wing billionaire George Soros, according to the\u00a0Washington Times<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Save Alameda For Everyone (SAFE) has gotten the\u00a073,195 valid signatures required to trigger a recall election against Price, according to the\u00a0Registrar of Voters.<\/p>\n

The city’s board of supervisors says they will discuss the recall on April 30 at a meeting but those involved with the recall campaign are demanding it be scheduled within the next 125 days, according to California State law.<\/p>\n

Save Alameda For Everyone (SAFE) has gotten the 73,195 valid signatures required to trigger a recall election against Price, according to the Registrar of Voters.<\/p>\n

Price was elected in 2022 as the county’s first black district attorney with 53 percent of the vote and a liberal wish list of policies including reducing mass incarceration, lower sentences for people under the age of 25 and police reform.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Those sponsoring the recall have said she’s gone too far in her leniency on crime and isn’t making the county safe.<\/p>\n

‘Today marks a historic moment for our community,’ said Brenda Grisham, an organizer with SAFE.<\/p>\n

‘The resounding support for this recall petition sends a clear message that the people of Alameda County demand accountability and ethical leadership from their elected officials.’<\/p>\n

The recall campaign has raised over $2 million and has hired a consultant who successfully took out woke San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin in 2022, according to the\u00a0San Francisco Chronicle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That has progressives who still back Price suggesting the effort is funded by carpet baggers and real estate lobbyists.<\/p>\n

The largest donation was $390,000 from Oakland resident and financier Phillip Dreyfuss.<\/p>\n

Price herself has yet to comment on the recall efforts, DailyMail.com has reached out to her office.<\/p>\n

Crime has continued to spiral on Price’s watch, up by almost 20 percent in 2023 compared to 2019. A woman is pictured being dragged by her bag during a mugging in Oakland<\/p>\n

In the past, she claimed the campaign against her is being ‘financed by billionaires who have no interest in public safety’, according to the Chronicle.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

‘I plan to push back against the hatred and racism that they have brought to Alameda County,’\u00a0Price said in March, following a panel with other\u00a0county prosecutors at the\u00a0University of\u00a0California<\/a><\/span>, Berkeley.<\/p>\n

It comes after she was accused of\u00a0regularly dubbing ‘the media and the Asians’ as her enemies<\/a><\/span>\u00a0in a\u00a0bombshell $1.5 million legal filing.<\/p>\n

Patti Lee, who worked as Price’s spokesperson for around six months last year until she fired her, said the DA ‘constantly and openly’ made derogatory comments about Asian Americans.<\/p>\n

Her legal claim – a precursor to a lawsuit – says that she was fired because of anti-Asian discrimination, and after she complained about breaches of duty in the office.<\/p>\n

She is seeking a $1.5 million settlement for emotional distress stemming from retaliation, discrimination, wrongful termination and failure to pay wages.<\/p>\n

Oakland saw crime soar by 21 percent between 2022 and 2023. Robberies rose by 38 percent, while vehicle theft rocketed by 45 percent.<\/p>\n

The dystopian city saw 15,000 cars stolen last year – meaning roughly one in every 30 of its residents had their car stolen.<\/p>\n

Price, who was previously a civil rights lawyer, became the county’s first black district attorney when she was elected in 2022<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In-N-Out Burger closed its only restaurant in the city over a spate of break-ins in its parking lot – the only closure in the chain’s 70 year history.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A nearby Denny’s also closed, with California Governor Gavin Newsom sending in his own prosecutors in a bid to try and clear up the mess.<\/p>\n
