{"id":104737,"date":"2024-10-02T23:17:59","date_gmt":"2024-10-03T04:17:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=104737"},"modified":"2024-10-02T23:17:59","modified_gmt":"2024-10-03T04:17:59","slug":"104737","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=104737","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Bachman Turner Overdrive-Taking care of business\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NCIUf8eYPqA\" width=\"521\" height=\"391\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/breaking-news\/article-823039\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Terror royalty: Nasrallah&#8217;s son-in-law killed in airstrike on Damascus, days after brother &#8211; report<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Hassan Jafar Qassir&#8217;s reported assassination is another severe blow to Hezbollah as its leadership has been slowly picked off in Israeli operations.<\/p>\n<p>Hassan Nasrallah&#8217;s son-in-law, Hassan Jafar Qassir, may have been killed in airstrikes in the Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus on Wednesday, according to early reports published by Sky News Arabic.<\/p>\n<section class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/section>\n<p>Hassan is the brother of Muhammad Jafar Qassir, who was killed in a strike in Beirut on Wednesday during the Iranian attack on Israel.<\/p>\n<section class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/section>\n<p>Hassan&#8217;s assassination is another severe blow to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/breaking-news\/article-822177\">Hezbollah<\/a>\u00a0as its leadership has been\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/breaking-news\/article-822177\">slowly picked off<\/a> in Israeli operations.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 23px;\">Qassir brothers\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Qassir brothers have been deeply involved in terrorism since at least the 1982 Lebanon War, when on November 11, Ahmad Qassir drove his car into an Israeli base in Tyre, detonating the explosives onboard. This marked the first suicide bombing in Lebanese history.<\/p>\n<section class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/section>\n<p>Ahmad was guided by one of Hezbollah&#8217;s founding figures,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/article-822285\">Imad Mughniya<\/a>, who was mysteriously assassinated in Damascus in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>His death is commemorated every year with &#8220;Martyr Day,&#8221; in which Hezbollah celebrates suicide bombing.<\/p>\n<section class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/section>\n<section class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/section>\n<section class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/section>\n<section class=\"hide-for-premium\">\n<div class=\"ob-smartfeed-wrapper feedIdx-1\">\n<div id=\"outbrain_widget_1\" class=\"OUTBRAIN\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/\/breaking-news\/article-823039\" data-widget-id=\"AR_37\" data-ob-mark=\"true\" data-browser=\"chrome\" data-os=\"win32\" data-dynload=\"\" data-idx=\"1\">\n<div class=\"ob-widget ob-feed-layout AR_37\">\n<div class=\"ob-cards\">\n<div id=\"outbrain_widget_2001\" class=\"OUTBRAIN\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/\/breaking-news\/article-823039\" data-widget-id=\"FMS_CP_1\" data-card-idx=\"1\" data-feed-father-idx=\"1\" data-ob-mark=\"true\" data-browser=\"chrome\" data-os=\"win32\" data-dynload=\"\" data-idx=\"2001\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"ob-widget ob-grid-layout FMS_CP_1 ob-feed-idx-1-11741-81570\" data-dynamic-truncate=\"true\">\n<div class=\"ob-widget-items-container\">\n<div class=\"ob-dynamic-rec-container ob-recIdx-0 ob-p\" data-pos=\"0\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ob-widget-footer\">\n<div class=\"ob_what ob_what_resp\">Ahmad&#8217;s attack still required the religious seal of approval in the form of a fatwa from one of Shia Islam&#8217;s highest-ranked clerics, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"ob_what ob_what_resp\"><strong style=\"font-size: 23px;\">Terror royalty<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>With the fatwa secured, the Qassir family swiftly became terror royalty, with Ahmad being termed the &#8220;first martyr.&#8221;<\/p>\n<section class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/section>\n<p>His brothers, Muhammed and Hassan, both rose in the ranks of the nascent Hezbollah.<\/p>\n<p>Muhammed became a leading figure in the deliveries of Iranian weapons from Syria, and Hassan married Hassan Nasrallah&#8217;s daughter, cementing their connection to Hezbollah and Iran.<\/p>\n<section class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/section>\n<p>Muhammed became such a notorious figure the US offered a $10 million reward for information leading to his death or capture.<\/p>\n<section class=\"fake-br-for-article-body\"><\/section>\n<p>In 2018, the US Treasury Department designated him a Specially Designated Global Terrorist, meaning &#8220;among other consequences, all property and interests in property of Qassir that are subject to US jurisdiction are blocked, and US persons are generally prohibited from engaging in any transactions with Qassir.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to the sanctions, he helped oversee several front companies that funneled money into Iran&#8217;s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in particular through the sale of oil and other untraceable products.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Terror royalty: Nasrallah&#8217;s son-in-law killed in airstrike on Damascus, days after brother &#8211; report Hassan Jafar Qassir&#8217;s reported assassination is another severe blow to Hezbollah as its leadership has been slowly picked off in Israeli operations.
