{"id":107636,"date":"2025-02-19T03:27:24","date_gmt":"2025-02-19T09:27:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=107636"},"modified":"2025-02-19T03:27:33","modified_gmt":"2025-02-19T09:27:33","slug":"107636","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=107636","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ammoland.com\/2025\/02\/reason-for-mexico-terror-threat-against-u-s-gunmakers-suggests-government-in-pocket-of-cartels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reason for Mexico Terror Threat Against U.S. Gunmakers Suggests Government in Pocket of Cartels<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMexico threatens to escalate US gunmakers lawsuit with terror charges,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2025\/feb\/14\/mexico-gunmakers-lawsuit-terror\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uri=\"9968932fe93d795b374fbd903fda2e59\"><em>The Guardian<\/em>\u00a0reported Friday<\/a>. \u201cClaudia Scheinbaum warns of reciprocal action if Washington designates country\u2019s cartels as terrorist groups.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf they declare these criminal groups as terrorists, then we\u2019ll have to expand our US lawsuit\u2026 The lawyers are looking at it, but they could be accomplices,\u201d Mexico\u2019s president told the press, adding a time-worn disinformation go-to:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201cShe said the US justice department itself has recognized that \u201874% of the weapons\u2019 used by criminal groups in Mexico come from north of the border.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That\u2019s the bit of calculated propaganda that primed ATF to implement Operation Fast and Furious \u201cgunwalking,\u201d creating calls for a renewed \u201cassault weapon\u201d ban (Note: Some of the links that follow go to the Internet Archive and may load slowly). The numbers may vary, but the lie remains constant.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20090610083722\/https:\/www.cnn.com\/2009\/WORLD\/americas\/03\/26\/kennedy.townsend.guns\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uri=\"a170aa1fd259a945edbdf069113f1dc1\">It started out<\/a>\u00a0with voices like Kathleen Kennedy Townsend and then-Brady Campaign president Paul Helmke, claiming \u201cAmerican gun sellers supply the cartels with 95 to 100 percent of their guns.\u201d The BBC\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/2\/hi\/americas\/7961530.stm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uri=\"06ffa193510f58dbc9d0f2e839f6d69b\">put it at \u201c90%.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Then\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/guns-to-mexico-nra-mythol_b_746955\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uri=\"7ef890de25cc537b5245ed7f35d224be\">it was 80%<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20090402203428\/http:\/www.examiner.com\/x-1417-Gun-Rights-Examiner~y2009m3d30-Do-90-of-Mexican-crime-guns-come-from-US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uri=\"b69ea28bcc7a2d83b5ff0243343aa0b5\">what they were all intentionally misstating<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u201cAccording to ATF\u2019s Tracing Center, 90 percent of the firearms about which ATF receives information are traceable to the United States.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAbout which ATF receives information\u2026\u201d That\u2019s not \u201call,\u201d that\u2019s what\u2019s been selectively submitted for tracing.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20090409075346\/http:\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/elections\/2009\/04\/02\/myth-percent-guns-mexico-fraction-number-claimed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uri=\"884177beff9b3124efeded375b11441a\">A\u00a0<em>Fox News<\/em>\u00a0analysis<\/a>\u00a0at the time concluded<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201cThere\u2019s just one problem with the 90 percent \u201cstatistic\u201d and it\u2019s a big one: It\u2019s just not true. In fact, it\u2019s not even close. The fact is, only 17 percent of guns found at Mexican crime scenes have been traced to the U.S.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Here we are in 2025 and those lies are still being thrown out and \u201creported\u201d unchallenged by media hacks who either don\u2019t know, which makes them incompetent and unqualified informants, or do know, which makes them complicit in the deliberate deception and manipulation of their readers and viewers.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>And the lies hardly stop there. Remember, the goal here is to attach like parasites and cripple the civilian market. \u00a0How inconvenient that as far back as 2009, the decidedly anti-gun\u00a0<em>Los Angeles Times<\/em>\u00a0actually\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/world\/la-fg-mexico-arms-race15-2009mar15-story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uri=\"b0a49dadf34d9833f49987b069f53a54\">made a truthful admission<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201cTraffickers have escalated their arms race, acquiring military-grade weapons, including hand grenades, grenade launchers, armor-piercing munitions and antitank rockets with firepower far beyond the assault rifles and pistols that have dominated their arsenals. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>Most of these weapons are being smuggled from Central American countries or by sea, eluding U.S. and Mexican monitors who are focused on the smuggling of semiautomatic and conventional weapons purchased from dealers in the U.S. border states of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If you want to find the sources for real military ordnance finding its way into the hands of the cartels, look no further than\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20111208224508\/http:\/www.examiner.com\/gun-rights-in-national\/ordnance-crossing-into-mexico-over-border-its-southern-one\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uri=\"b1db93ec6641212d11111bc04802f897\">Mexico\u2019s southern border<\/a>\u00a0or from corrupt government officials taking advantage of U.S. State Department-authorized\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20100607063443\/http:\/www.examiner.com\/x-1417-Gun-Rights-Examiner~y2009m4d2-Do-US-government-arms-exports-play-a-part-in-arming-Mexican-cartels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uri=\"9cc78f8a55fb5c02bd1f22a806e62747\">exports to Mexican police and the military<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And still unresolved from Fast and Furious, by deliberately allowing guns to cross the border without State Department approval\u00a0 (and that\u2019s an unproven assumption), \u00a0ATF agents acting as \u00a0\u201cprincipals\u201d \u201cinduced\u201d or \u201cwillfully caused\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20120801234952\/http:\/www.examiner.com\/article\/will-gunwalker-export-violations-bust-criminal-investigation-wide-open\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uri=\"ce97fb37015580a6f219c82a5c139a9d\">Arms Export Control Act violations<\/a>, even if they did not\u00a0 physically \u201cwalk\u201d the guns themselves. Per International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201cAny person who willfully violates these provisions \u2018shall upon conviction be fined for each violation not more than $1,000,000 or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So, back to Claudia Sheinbaum, now threatening to treat U.S. gunmakers like international terrorists while at the same time shielding insanely vicious cartel animals who torture, decapitate, and hang her citizens from bridges for sport, the question is \u201cWhy?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Does anyone seriously think government officials are untouchable, and that they would be in their positions of power if the cartels decided their priority would be to eliminate them?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Naturally, the same media that wants us to believe U.S. gun stores and the Second Amendment are to blame for carnage in a country that imposes every infringement the Democrats want to enact here, doesn\u2019t want that looked into. And those who say it is are lying, or simply do not know or understand Mexico.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Of course. It\u2019s not like they have a formal treaty. But here\u2019s an undeniable reality: Top officials, in all branches of government, the police, and the military, are in the pockets of the cartels. And you don\u2019t know who until they\u2019re caught, like former public security secretary, Genaro Garcia Luna,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.firearmsnews.com\/editorial\/mexico-cop-arrested\/470868#replay\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uri=\"10558cff68e97cd52e65010a217e54e4\">Mexico\u2019s top cop, found guilty of drug trafficking<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-7\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1681151478485-0\" data-google-query-id=\"CKie8YW1z4sDFWvSTwId-wYurg\">\n<p id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/22702991301\/Ammoland\/AL_In-Content_3_0__container__\">Sheinbaum knows she or her family can be taken out at any time if she doesn\u2019t try to turn down the heat, or maybe the cartels will just shoot up another tourist area or commit some other atrocity that could bring her government down. Or maybe DOGE can find U.S. connections and take a look at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marca.com\/en\/lifestyle\/celebrity-net-worth\/2024\/06\/03\/665e3c86e2704e7d968b45ce.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-uri=\"11d49c10f45411d2767ab64b388b8efb\">her financial interests<\/a>\u00a0and see where they lead.
