{"id":107654,"date":"2025-02-19T19:30:14","date_gmt":"2025-02-20T01:30:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=107654"},"modified":"2025-02-19T19:30:14","modified_gmt":"2025-02-20T01:30:14","slug":"107654","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=107654","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/2nd-amendment\/2025\/02\/18\/gop-lawmakers-introduce-bills-make-north-carolina-30th-constitutional-carry-state\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GOP Lawmakers Introduce Bills to Make North Carolina 30th Constitutional Carry State<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Republican lawmakers have introduced legislation to make North Carolina the 30th constitutional carry state in the union.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Tar Heel\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailytarheel.com\/article\/2025\/02\/city-constitutional-carry-nc-senate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">reported<\/a>\u00a0that both bills\u2013HB 5 and SB 50\u2013\u201cwould allow U.S. citizen<span class=\"arx-snw-infoflag\">s with no\u00a0<\/span>felonies and no mental illness-r<span class=\"arx-snw-infoflag\">elated c<\/span>harges, over the age of 18, to conceal carry a weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The House bill also contains language that would \u201callow elected officials to conceal carry weapons in legislative buildings and offices in Raleigh.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It is interesting to note that at least one NC state Senator who opposed constitutional carry during the 2023-24 session is a sponsor on the carry legislation now.<\/p>\n<p>South Carolina became the 29th constitutional carry state on March 7, 2024, just two days after Gov.
