Besides the Taliban condoms, European DEI musicals, and Iraqi muppets already\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/catherinesalgado\/2025\/02\/05\/comics-drag-and-atheism-list-of-usaids-outrageous-grant-n4936690\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">exposed<\/a>\u00a0by DOGE, the new department led by Elon Musk has found yet more leftist nonsense and grift to cancel.<\/p>\n<p>DOGE on Thursday\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/doge\/status\/1895146204477981159?s=46&amp;t=wDD9h6AWvM1P0tiUGr3o-w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">revealed<\/a>\u00a0the following initiatives on which our money was set to be spent, but which fortunately have been shut down:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p id=\"isPasted\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>&#8211; $60M for &#8220;Indigenous Peoples and Afro-Colombian empowerment&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>&#8211; $74M for &#8220;inclusive justice&#8221; in Colombia<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>&#8211; $79M for &#8220;primary literacy&#8221; in Kenya<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>&#8211; $37M for &#8220;female empowerment&#8221; in Colombia<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>&#8211; $8M to &#8220;Reduce stigma, discrimination, and violence against LGBTQI+ communities&#8221; in Lesotho<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>&#8211; $3.3M for &#8220;being LGBTQI in the Caribbean&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>&#8211; $25k to increase &#8220;Vegan Local Climate Action Innovation&#8221; in Zambia<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier this week, DOGE identified a substantial amount of cash going to the insidious World Economic Forum and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/catherinesalgado.substack.com\/p\/welcome-to-2030-wef-purges-disturbing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the plan<\/a>\u00a0for you to \u201cown nothing\u201d and \u201chave no privacy.\u201d\u00a0Other ridiculous initiatives also included \u201c$69mm for the Eurasia Foundation to do \u2018digital transformation activity\u2019 in Europe.\u201d Whatever the heck that means.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/doge\/status\/1894483498506789102?s=46&amp;t=wDD9h6AWvM1P0tiUGr3o-w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">From DOGE:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>-$32mm to Internews for programs including &#8220;media enabling democracy, inclusion, and accountability in Moldova&#8221; and the promotion of \u201csustainable media outlets&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>-$7mm for the American Bar Association to promote the &#8220;resilience&#8221; of the &#8220;Eurasian legal sector and civic society&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>-$520mm for a consultant to do ESG investments in Africa and &#8220;mobilize private sector resources and expertise\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>-$25mm to \u201cpromote biodiversity conservation and promote licit livelihoods\u201d by developing \u201csocially responsible\u201d behaviors in Colombia<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>-$40mm to &#8220;improve the social and economic inclusion of sedentary migrants&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>-$42mm for Johns Hopkins to research and drive &#8220;social and behavior change&#8221; in Uganda<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>-$45mm to &#8220;address [] the needs, opportunities, and challenges identified by activists and other civic actors engaged in nonviolent collective action&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>-$52mm for the World Economic Forum<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Nor is that all. DOGE is out to identify unused buildings on which millions of dollars are spent annually. It provided one sobering example of why reform is needed on Feb. 26. \u201cA former ICE employee and Biden transition team member joined Family Endeavors in early 2021 and helped secure a sole-source HHS contract for overflow housing from licensed care facilities,\u201d DOGE\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/doge\/status\/1894863651007537343?s=46&amp;t=wDD9h6AWvM1P0tiUGr3o-w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">explained<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That turned out to be quite the lucrative deal. \u201cAs a result, Family Endeavors\u2019 cash and portfolio of investments grew from $8.3M in 2020 to $520.4M in 2023. Since March 2024, HHS has paid ~$18M\/month to keep the Pecos facility open despite sitting empty.\u201d But no more. \u201cWith national licensed facility occupancy now below 20%, HHS was able to terminate this contract, saving taxpayers over $215M annually.\u201d Hurrah, hurrah.<\/p>\n<p>Back on Feb. 25, DOGE also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/doge\/status\/1894561774147346776?s=46&amp;t=wDD9h6AWvM1P0tiUGr3o-w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">posted<\/a>, \u201cToday, the Federal Government exceeded $100M in annual rent savings through cancellations of 250+ vacant\/underutilized leases totaling 3M+ square feet. \u00a0With ~7,250 current leases, there is plenty of available office space for the current workforce.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, multiple agencies, including the Departments of Education, Treasury, Commerce, the Interior, DHS, EPA, and NASA reportedly have numerous unused or unnecessary credit cards. DOGE is auditing these to see how many can be deactivated. \u201cCredit Card Update!\u201d was the Wednesday X\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/doge\/status\/1894972772314685594?s=46&amp;t=wDD9h6AWvM1P0tiUGr3o-w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">announcement<\/a>. \u201cPilot program across 14 civilian agencies to audit unused\/unneeded \u2018P-cards\u2019 (~700K accounts with ~$30B of spend in FY24).
