Elon Musk Drops New Info About Massive Cyberattack Against X<\/a><\/p>\n

There were some major outages on the social media platform X on Monday, with X owner Elon Musk\u00a0saying<\/a> it was due to a “massive cyberattack” that went on throughout the morning and afternoon.<\/p>\n

“We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources,” Musk explained. “Either a large, coordinated group and\/or a country is involved.”<\/p>\n

He went on to say they were “tracing” the attack.<\/p>\n

Musk later appeared on Fox Business with Larry Kudlow where he was asked about the cyberattack and about whether it was “foreign sourced.”<\/a><\/p>\n

“Well, we don’t we’re not sure exactly what happened, but there was a massive cyber attack to try to bring down the X system with IP addresses originating in the Ukraine area,” Musk said.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Now it should be noted that IP addresses showing as Ukraine doesn’t necessarily mean Ukrainians did it when the people behind the action might be using VPNs. Would Ukraine really leave a trail back to themselves if they did it? That would seem a bad move.<\/p>\n

The folks who truly have a lot to lose from Musk’s actions are the people whose power he is disrupting here in the U.S. Those are the folks who want him out of government. But Musk may have more information and he’ll likely find out even more as he continues to look into it. Chances are they will run these characters to ground when they make such a huge attack.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The day before, some were spreading a false story that Musk wanted to cut off Starlink to Ukraine. Both he and Secretary of State Marco Rubio scotched that story. But that further hyped the “Ukraine anger” against Musk.<\/p>\n

A lot of people faced outages, and there still seem to be issues with such things as embedding tweets and things.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a group called Dark Storm Team claimed\u00a0credit for the attack.<\/a><\/p>\n

Around the same time, the pro-Palestinian hacker group Dark Storm Team reportedly took responsibility for the attacks. The group is known for primarily targeting countries and entities that support Israel’s attack on Gaza following\u00a0<\/span>Hamas’ surprise attack on October 7, 2023.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

According to Orange Cyberdefense, Dark Storm Team has unconfirmed but “highly” likely links to Russia and “strong partnerships with other groups.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We’ve already seen leftists staging protest actions at Tesla locations against Musk, trying to hurt him to stop his involvement with the Trump administration. There have also been\u00a0many attacks<\/a> on dealerships across the country, from vandalism and damaging cars to people throwing Molotov cocktails, setting charging stations on fire, and other arson, and even a shooting.<\/p>\n

There was also a “hack” into the HUD TV system where they ran a\u00a0gross video\u00a0<\/a>of President Donald Trump and Musk. The House Finance Committee Democrats cheered the attack on a government agency in a disgusting tweet.<\/p>\n
