And the liberal media is always there to give them cover. And this isn&#8217;t a new phenomenon either.<\/p>\n<p>Make no mistake about it: Democrats want a civil war.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/matt-margolis\/2025\/03\/14\/democrats-want-a-civil-war-and-we-got-the-receipts-n4937906\">Democrats Want a Civil War, and We&#8217;ve Got the Receipts<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) is once again stirring controversy, this time accusing President Donald Trump of pushing the country toward civil war. Speaking in an interview, Waters declared, \u201cI\u2019m worried that Trump is on the edge of creating a civil war. He alluded to it more than once.\u201d<br \/>\nIt certainly wouldn\u2019t be a Trump presidency if Democrats weren\u2019t claiming that Trump wants to start a civil war. We heard that kind of rhetoric during his first term, and of course, it was inevitable that we\u2019d hear it during his second.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" title=\"Maxine Waters Accuses Trump of Wanting To Start a \u2018Civil War&amp;apos;\" src=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/embed\/v6of0a0\/?pub=4#?secret=7Z0o27fcbh\" data-secret=\"7Z0o27fcbh\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>She went further, claiming Trump had suggested there could be a civil war if he wasn\u2019t reelected. \u201cNow, this president is putting us in a position where hungry people are going to be on the street,\u201d she said, without evidence. \u201cWhere non-profits who were waiting for their checks are not going to get them. When that happens, what does Trump expect? Oh, I believe he expects violence. I believe he expects confrontation. I believe he\u2019s working toward a civil war.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Waters insisted, however, that Democrats wouldn\u2019t take the bait. \u201cWe\u2019re not going to get goaded. We\u2019re not going to get tricked into that. We\u2019re going to continue to do our work,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Her remarks drew immediate backlash from Trump supporters, who accused her of stoking division while blaming Trump for the very thing she appeared to be warning against. During a panel on CNN, conservative commentator Scott Jennings pointed out that Waters is far from alone in making such inflammatory comments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHakeem Jeffries said earlier this year, \u2018We\u2019re going to fight in the streets.\u2019 Ayanna Pressley, Jasmine Crockett, other members of the Democratic Conference have continuously alluded to violence because they\u2019re so angry about the Trump administration,\u201d Jennings said.<\/p>\n<p>CNN\u2019s Abby Phillip pushed back, arguing that Jeffries\u2019 remarks were about protesting. \u201cWell, I don\u2019t \u2014 I think it\u2019s unfair to say that they\u2019re alluding to violence,\u201d she said, before trying to clarify that \u201cwhen Jeffries was saying that, he was talking about going to the streets in protest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jennings wasn\u2019t convinced. \u201cHe said, \u2018Fight in the streets,\u2019\u201d he countered. Of course, he&#8217;s correct.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRight now, we&#8217;re going to keep focused on the need to look out for everyday New Yorkers and everyday Americans who are under assault by an extreme MAGA Republican agenda that is trying to cut taxes for billionaires, donors, and wealthy corporations and then stick New Yorkers and working-class Americans across the country with the bill. That&#8217;s not acceptable,\u201d Jeffries\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/o\/mRXYI\/https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/robert-spencer\/2025\/01\/31\/hakeem-jeffries-calls-on-leftists-to-fight-trumps-policies-in-the-streets-n4936559\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">said back in January<\/a>. \u201cWe are going to fight it legislatively. We are going to fight it in the courts. The left can claim that this was a call for protesting, but many saw it for what it really was: a call for violence.
