The Trump administration has deported more than 100,000 migrants since\u00a0President Trump<\/a>\u00a0returned to the\u00a0White House<\/a>\u00a0in January,\u00a0The Post has learned.<\/p>\n

Both ICE and CBP\u00a0officials have made 113,000 arrests and carried out \u201cnorth of\u201d 100,000 deportations since\u00a0Trump\u2019s Jan. 20 inauguration<\/a>, a Department of Homeland Security official told The Post Monday.<\/p>\n

Sources said it shows that Trump is keeping his promise to boot illegal migrants, alleged gangbangers and suspected terrorists from the United States.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s doing what he was voted in to do. Point blank!\u201d an ICE source told The Post.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t immediately clear how many detainees are convicted criminals, the status of their cases and their national origins \u2014 though sources believe the majority are being removed to Mexico.<\/p>\n

Trump campaigned heavily on cracking down on illegal immigration, and on Day One, declared an emergency at the border, sent thousands of additional troops to the region, shut down the asylum system to illegal crossers and launched a\u00a0mass deportation effort\u00a0<\/a>across the country.<\/p>\n

ICE has since\u00a0\u201cmaxed out\u201d<\/a>\u00a0its detention space and is asking Congress to fund additional beds to support the Trump administration\u2019s deportation campaign that yielded 32,000 arrests in its first 50 days.<\/p>\n

Trump has also taken aggressive measures to quell transnational criminal organizations, such as invoking the 18th-century Alien Enemies Act to deport Venezuelan gang members to a\u00a0notorious El Salvadoran \u201chellhole\u201d mega prison<\/a>\u00a0without a trial.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s down 94% from the 137,000 people who poured across the border in March last year under President Joe Biden. It follows February crossings of roughly\u00a08,300 illegal migrants<\/a>, the lowest in at least 25 years.<\/p>\n

Most of the illegal crossings took place in the San Diego and El Paso border sectors, sources said.<\/p>\n
