The nations literally went dark.<\/p>\n<p>Tens of millions of people had to resort to old handheld radios to figure out what was even happening. It could have been an alien invasion for all they knew!<\/p>\n<p>From\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/english.elpais.com\/international\/2025-04-28\/massive-power-outages-cause-blackouts-in-spain-and-portugal.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>El Pais<\/em><\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\"><strong>The outage suddenly set Spain back to the 19th century.
