Symptoms of PMR are aching joints, especially in the shoulders and pelvis, which can be debilitating<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefocalpoints.com\/p\/breaking-study-covid-19-vaccination?utm_source=post-email-title&amp;publication_id=1119676&amp;post_id=190860702&amp;utm_campaign=email-post-title&amp;isFreemail=true&amp;r=5r7hba&amp;triedRedirect=true&amp;utm_medium=email\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BREAKING STUDY: COVID-19 \u201cVaccination\u201d Linked to 6,800% Higher Odds of Debilitating Autoimmune Muscle Disease<\/a><br \/>\nCDC\/FDA data reveal a massive safety signal for polymyalgia rheumatica\u2014an autoimmune inflammatory disease causing severe muscle pain and debilitating stiffness.<\/p>\n<p>by\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NicHulscher\" rel=\"\">Nicolas Hulscher, MPH<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A new study titled\u00a0<strong>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.preprints.org\/manuscript\/202603.0771\" rel=\"\">Association Between COVID-19 Vaccination and Polymyalgia Rheumatica: A Review and Case Series Report<\/a>\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0reports a powerful safety signal linking COVID-19 vaccination to\u00a0<strong>polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR)<\/strong>\u2014a debilitating autoimmune inflammatory disorder characterized by severe muscle pain and systemic inflammation.<\/p>\n<div class=\"captioned-image-container\">\n<figure>\n<div class=\"image2-inset can-restack\">\n<p>The paper was authored by <strong>Dr. Erik Nilssen, Dr. James Thorp, Claire Rogers, Kirstin Cosgrove, Dr. Steven Hatfill, Dr. Drew Pinsky, Dr. Kelly Victory, Dr. Alejandro Diaz-Villalobos, Nicolas Hulscher (myself), and Dr. Peter A. McCullough.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>In our analysis, we examined reports from the CDC\/FDA Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) and\u00a0<strong>detected a striking disproportionate increase in PMR cases following COVID-19 vaccination compared with other vaccines<\/strong>. We also report three clinical cases of polymyalgia rheumatica observed in recent medical practice following COVID-19 vaccination or spike protein exposure.<\/p>\n<p>Polymyalgia rheumatica primarily affects adults over age 50 and can leave patients with\u00a0<strong>crippling shoulder, neck, and hip pain, profound morning stiffness, fatigue, and elevated inflammatory markers<\/strong>. Many patients require\u00a0<strong>long-term corticosteroid therapy<\/strong>\u00a0to control symptoms.<\/p>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"header-anchor-post\">Massive Safety Signal Detected in U.S. Vaccine Database<\/h2>\n<div class=\"pencraft pc-display-flex pc-alignItems-center pc-position-absolute pc-reset header-anchor-parent\">\n<div class=\"pencraft pc-display-contents pc-reset pubTheme-yiXxQA\">\n<p>We analyzed reports from the CDC\/FDA Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) spanning <strong>1990\u20132026<\/strong>\u00a0and identified:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2,227 cases of polymyalgia rheumatica reported after COVID-19 vaccination<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>233 cases after influenza vaccination<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>526 cases after all other vaccines combined<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After adjusting for the\u00a0<strong>duration of vaccine availability<\/strong>, the safety signal became striking.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>odds ratio over time (ORt)<\/strong>\u00a0for PMR following COVID-19 vaccination compared with influenza vaccination was:<\/p>\n<p><strong>69.4\u00a0<\/strong><em>(95% CI: 51.4\u201393.6, p &lt; 0.0001, Z = 27.7)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>When COVID-19 vaccination was compared with\u00a0<strong>all other vaccines combined<\/strong>, a similarly strong signal persisted:<\/p>\n<p><strong>30.7\u00a0<\/strong><em>(95% CI: 23.1\u201340.8, p &lt; 0.0001, Z = 23.6)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For context, regulators define a vaccine safety signal as a disproportionality measure of\u00a0<strong>\u22652<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>These findings exceed that threshold\u00a0<strong>by more than an order of magnitude<\/strong>, indicating an unusually strong association between COVID-19 vaccination and reports of polymyalgia rheumatica.<\/p>\n<p>The extremely large Z-scores\u201423 to 27 standard deviations above expected values\u2014indicate that the probability of this signal occurring by chance is extraordinarily small.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you developed Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) sometime after getting the COVID19 vaccination, there is strong evidence that the latter is related to the former.
