We have a right to bear arms to protect ourselves, our families. We have a right to own weapons for sport or for hunting. But like any freedom in the Bill of Rights, it\u2019s not absolute.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Breitbart News\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/02\/27\/joe-biden-the-second-amendment-is-not-absolute\/\">reported<\/a>\u00a0that on February 26, 2020, during a CNN Town Hall, Biden argued that the Second Amendment was not \u201cabsolute.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He followed the Town Hall with a post to X in which he\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoeBiden\/status\/1232851279162073089\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">elaborated<\/a>: \u201cI taught constitutional law for a long time and here\u2019s the deal: No amendment is absolute. There are limits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Talarico stressed what he believes are limits on other constitutionally protected rights as well. For example, he told\u00a0<em>Unity Over Division<\/em>, \u201cYou have a freedom to assemble, to protest, but you need a permit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"a9d-pre\"><strong>The First Amendment does not mention a need for a permit.
