Trans gunman caught in alleged casino terror plot with huge cache of weapons\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Las Vegas\u00a0<\/a>cops busted a\u00a0transgender\u00a0<\/a>gunman who allegedly planned a casino massacre using a huge cache of weapons.<\/p>\n

Allison Howlett, 36, who was born a man but lives as a woman, was arrested Saturday on charges of making terroristic threats, assault with a deadly weapon, auto theft, gun theft and other offenses.<\/p>\n

The wild story unfolded shortly after 9:30 a.m. Saturday when Howlett\u2019s former spouse, who is female, called police to report Howlett had stolen her car and the vehicle held numerous firearms, Henderson Police Chief Reggie Rader said.<\/p>\n

The former spouse said Howlett intended to commit \u201csuicide by cop\u201d or carry out a mass shooting, Radar said.<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n

Howlett\u2019s ex was tracking her stolen car on her phone and led cops to it where it was parked in a garage at Sunset Station hotel, the top cop said.<\/p>\n

As officers approached the vehicle Howlett blasted music over the car\u2019s stereo and refused commands to exit.\u00a0He did, however, ask cops for a drink of water.<\/p>\n

\u201cOfficers were eventually able to establish communication and convince her to roll down her window during negotiations,\u201d said Rader.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen she asked for water, the quick-thinking officers developed a plan to take her into custody as an opportunity arose when she reached for the water,\u201d he explained. \u201cOfficers used that moment to gain control of her hands and remove her from the vehicle.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOw, OK, I\u2019ll get out,\u201d said Howlett as an officer grabbed one of his hands. Rader said cops stunned Howlett with a Taser while he was being taken into custody.<\/p>\n

The officers were shocked to see that Howlett had been sitting on a handgun and had an MP5 submachine gun sitting on the back seat.\u00a0When cops searched Howlett\u2019s car, they recovered 22 other guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.<\/p>\n

Cops who searched the suspect\u2019s home in Henderson found 30 more firearms, including automatic rifles, plus ammo, grenade launcher attachments and silencers.<\/p>\n

Officers said Howlett made several threats going back years, a including a 2024 call where Howlett threatened a mass shooting.<\/p>\n

\u201cI swear to God, if the FBI doesn\u2019t come f\u2014\u2014 arrest me, there\u2019s gonna be a f\u2014\u2014 mass shooting,\u201d Howlett allegedly said in a recording of the call played at Tuesday\u2019s briefing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s one day you\u2019re gonna be pissing me the f\u2014 off, and it\u2019s gonna be the last f\u2014\u2014 straw,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Police said the incident remains under investigation and that investigators are still searching for a motive. Howlett remained in custody at the Clark County Detention Center Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
