Miami Man In Van Guns Down AK-47 Wielding Robber Because He Didn\u2019t Want \u2018To Go Out Like A Punk\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n

MIAMI (CBSMiami) \u2013 A 60-Year-old Miami man said he was forced to shoot and kill a gunman who had broken in to his van early Monday morning in an attempt to rob him of his jewelry.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe guy I killed last night, he put an AK-47 to my damn face,\u201d said Donovan Stewart.<\/p>\n

Stewart told CBS4\u2019S Peter D\u2019Oench that he had to act quickly because he was worried about the safety of his 11-year-old son and girlfriend who were in the van with him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am from Kingstontown in Jamaica,\u201d he said, \u201cand I am not going to go out like a punk. So I emptied my Glock in his chest. This man tried to get in my van while I was sleeping and he was surprised to see what I did.\u201d<\/p>\n

He demonstrated what he did for CBS4.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, he opened the door like this and pointed his AK-47 and I reached around like this and got my gun. That is how I did this to him,\u201d he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man fires gunshots at robbers in South Nashville<\/a><\/p>\n

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) \u2014 A man robbed of his phone and wallet in South Nashville Monday morning pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots at the people who robbed him, Metro police say.<\/p>\n

Officers responded around 2:30 a.m. to an armed robbery on Eckhart Drive near Antioch Pike.<\/p>\n

When police arrived, the victim told them he was getting out of his vehicle, when two people drove up, called out his name and pointed a weapon at him. The victim handed over his wallet and phone, officers said.<\/p>\n

The victim then pulled out a gun and fired several gunshots at the robbers, police explained. The robbers reportedly fled in a smaller, black SUV, but it was not clear if either of them were shot.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
