Armed Wisconsin high school student, resource officer injured in shooting incident<\/a><\/p>\n

This is not<\/em><\/strong> a repeat article, but another<\/strong><\/em> event.<\/p>\n

An armed\u00a0Wisconsin\u00a0high school student confronted a school resource officer on Tuesday morning, police said \u2014\u00a0one day after a similar incident unfolded at another Wisconsin\u00a0high school.<\/p>\n

The student at\u00a0Oshkosh West High School, located roughly 53 miles southwest of\u00a0Green Bay, “confronted a school resource officer,” the local police department\u00a0confirmed online<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Both the student and the\u00a0officer were injured and transported to\u00a0local hospitals. No one else was injured in the incident.<\/p>\n

As of 10 a.m. local time, Oshkosh West was locked down, according to\u00a0authorities.<\/p>\n

“This incident is being turned over to The state department of criminal investigations who will conduct the investigation, there will be more information released as it becomes available,” the department wrote.<\/p>\n

The shooting\u00a0happened roughly 24 hours after<\/a>\u00a0a resource officer at\u00a0Waukesha South High School \u2014 nearly\u00a085 miles south of Oshkosh\u00a0\u2014 confronted an armed male 17-year-old student.<\/p>\n

A student at Waukesha told\u00a0school officials that another student brought a handgun to school. The school resource officer promptly responded to a classroom and tried to secure the scene by getting other students to safety.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
