{"id":31395,"date":"2020-01-27T23:16:44","date_gmt":"2020-01-28T05:16:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=31395"},"modified":"2020-01-27T23:17:38","modified_gmt":"2020-01-28T05:17:38","slug":"31395","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=31395","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/01\/27\/cdc-monitoring-110-possible-coronavirus-cases-in-26-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CDC Monitoring 110 Possible Coronavirus Cases in 26 States<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>More than a hundred people across 26 states are being monitored for possible cases of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/01\/27\/coronavirus-origin-traced-to-animal-market-in-wuhan-tests-confirm\/\">the new coronavirus<\/a>, health officials said Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The number of possible cases of the dangerous virus nearly doubled to 110 cases over four days, up from the 63 previously reported to be under surveillance,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2020\/01\/27\/cdc-is-monitoring-110-possible-coronavirus-cases-across-26-states-in-us.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to CNBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe understand that many people in the United States are worried about this virus and how it will affect Americans,\u201d said Dr. Nancy Messonnier, the director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery day we learn more, every day we assess to see if our guidance or our response can be improved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Five patients diagnosed with the virus in the US after traveling to the Chinese city of Wuhan,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/01\/27\/us-scrambles-to-evacuate-americans-from-wuhan-on-chartered-flight\/\">where the outbreak began<\/a>, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>All of the patients are hospitalized and their close contacts are being monitored for symptoms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt this time in the U.S., this virus is not spreading in the community,\u201d Messonnier said,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Health\/coronavirus-spreading-us-cdc\/story?id=68560892\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to ABC News<\/a>. \u201cFor that reason we continue to believe that the immediate health risk from the new virus to the general public is low at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the death toll from the virus has climbed to 82 in China and has reached over 2,800 cases, as local officials struggle to contain the epidemic,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/live\/2020\/jan\/27\/coronavirus-china-death-toll-climbs-to-80-with-more-than-2700-cases-live-updates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the Guardian reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The US State Department issued a new travel advisory Monday, urging people to \u201creconsider travel\u201d to China out of growing concerns about the virus.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CDC Monitoring 110 Possible Coronavirus Cases in 26 States More than a hundred people across 26 states are being monitored for possible cases of\u00a0the new coronavirus, health officials said Monday.
