{"id":32034,"date":"2020-01-30T23:08:28","date_gmt":"2020-01-31T05:08:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=32034"},"modified":"2020-01-30T23:08:28","modified_gmt":"2020-01-31T05:08:28","slug":"32034","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=32034","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kdvr.com\/2020\/01\/30\/perjury-charge-filed-against-woman-who-tried-to-have-csu-officers-weapons-confiscated\/\">Perjury charge filed against woman who tried to have CSU officer\u2019s weapons confiscated<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>FORT COLLINS, Colo. \u2014 A perjury charge has been filed against Susan Holmes, the woman who recently tried to use Colorado\u2019s new \u201cred flag\u201d law to have a Colorado State University officer\u2019s weapons confiscated.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kdvr.com\/2018\/12\/24\/mother-of-man-killed-by-fort-collins-csu-police-files-complaint-over-footage\/\">Earlier this month,<\/a>\u00a0Holmes filed an extreme risk protection order against Cpl. Phillip Morris.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kdvr.com\/2020\/01\/16\/womans-request-to-use-red-flag-law-against-csu-officer-who-shot-and-killed-her-son-denied\/\">It was denied.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Morris shot and killed Holmes\u2019 son in 2017. The district attorney found the shooting to be \u201cclearly justified.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kdvr.com\/2019\/12\/20\/problem-solvers-guide-to-obtaining-an-extreme-risk-protection-order-in-colorado\/\">A petition for an extreme risk protection order<\/a>\u00a0requires the petitioner to have a connection to the respondent, such as being a blood relative, a marriage or domestic partner, or having a child in common with the respondent.<\/p>\n<p>Under penalty of perjury, Holmes claimed she had a child in common with Morris when in fact, she does not.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Colorado court records showed Holmes is charged with one count of perjury and one count of attempt to influence a public servant. The latter charge is for allegedly lying to a judge.<\/p>\n<p>The Larimer County Sheriff\u2019s Office said a warrant is out for Holmes and she is not in custody.
