Man shot, killed after allegedly forcing his way into home<\/a><\/p>\n

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. – Police in Montgomery County are investigating a shooting where an alleged home invader was killed.<\/p>\n

Police responded to a house on East Third Avenue for reports of a shooting at around 11:30 p.m on Saturday in Collegeville Borough.<\/p>\n

According to a release from the Montgomery District Attorney’s Office, police found a 55-year-old man with a gunshot wound when they arrived at the scene, and was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

Initial reports say that the man was shot by someone that lived in the home after he forced his way in, according to the release.<\/p>\n

An autopsy is being conducted by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. The identity of the man is not being released until next of kin has been notified.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Homeowner shoots suspect in reported home invasion<\/a><\/p>\n

RUSSELL, Ky. (WSAZ) \u2014 One person is in serious condition after a shooting during an alleged home invasion in Russell, Kentucky.<\/p>\n

Police Chief Ned Crisp tells WSAZ it happened just after 1:30 Sunday morning on the 300 block of Short White Oak Road.<\/p>\n

Crisp says a 31-year-old man was shot by the homeowner and was flown to Cabell-Huntington Hospital where he remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n

Detectives were still on scene early Sunday, and no other details are available at this time.<\/p>\n

No one has been charged.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man shot, killed while attempting robbery in Birmingham<\/a><\/p>\n

BIRMINGHAM \u2014 Police in Birmingham said a man was shot and killed while attempting a robbery early Sunday morning.\u00a0Detectives<\/span>\u00a0are conducting a homicide investigation, according to Sgt. Rod Mauldin<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOn Sunday<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0February 16, 2020, at 4 a.m. an off-duty officer was working an extra security detail when shots were fired at 528 3<\/span>rd<\/span>\u00a0Avenue West,\u201d Mauldin said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Upon further investigation the officer discovered the subject laying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded<\/span>\u00a0to<\/span>\u00a0the scene and the wounded subject was transported to UAB\u00a0<\/span>Hospital where<\/span>\u00a0he was pronounced deceased.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cPreliminary investigation suggest the subject approached a person in a robbery attempt which resulted in the subject being shot,\u201d Mauldin said. \u201cThis is an ongoing investigation.
