Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.go.kr\/board\/board.es?mid=a30402000000&amp;bid=0030&amp;act=view&amp;list_no=366301&amp;tag=&amp;nPage=1\">reported that the total number<\/a>\u00a0of confirmed cases in the country rose to 433 \u2014 less than 24 hours after the sum\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.go.kr\/board\/board.es?mid=a30402000000&amp;bid=0030&amp;act=view&amp;list_no=366288&amp;tag=&amp;nPage=1\">stood at 156<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As of Tuesday, the number of confirmed cases was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.go.kr\/board\/board.es?mid=a30402000000&amp;bid=0030\">just 31<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the new patients Saturday were located in or near Daegu, South Korea&#8217;s fourth-largest city, where\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.go.kr\/board\/board.es?mid=a30402000000&amp;bid=0030&amp;act=view&amp;list_no=366299&amp;tag=&amp;nPage=1\">dozens of people<\/a>\u00a0linked with a Christian sect known as the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.shincheonji.kr\/\">Shincheonji Church of Jesus<\/a>\u00a0have shown symptoms of respiratory illness.
