KATY, Texas \u2014 A home invasion suspect was shot Friday morning in Katy, a sergeant with the Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office confirmed.<\/p>\n

The suspect, who was reportedly wearing a mask, was shot in the arm after burglarizing a home in the 18700 block of Sandleford.<\/p>\n

The suspect was taken to a nearby hospital where he is expected to survive.<\/p>\n

Detectives are on scene investigating.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man shot, killed after breaking into girlfriend’s apartment<\/a><\/p>\n

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. \u2014 A man was shot and killed after breaking into his girlfriend’s apartment, police say.<\/p>\n

It happened at about 6 a.m. Saturday in the area of Fairfield Avenue and 59th Street S, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.<\/p>\n

Police say a 26-year-old man got into his girlfriend’s apartment when he was confronted by a 48-year-old man. At some point, shots were fired and the 26-year-old died at the scene.<\/p>\n

The 48-year-old suffered a non-life-threatening injury, police say.<\/p>\n

Two women and a child who also were in the apartment were not hurt.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
