{"id":44591,"date":"2020-03-21T11:14:56","date_gmt":"2020-03-21T16:14:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=44591"},"modified":"2020-03-21T11:54:09","modified_gmt":"2020-03-21T16:54:09","slug":"44591","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=44591","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsbtv.com\/news\/local\/atlanta\/man-shot-busy-gas-station-heart-buckhead\/JQB7WLOHTRG2ZJNHLUY5WDW4B4\/\">Witness shoots man attempting to steal car from gas station<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\">What we know:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"_33MEMislY0GAlB78wL1_CR\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul class=\"_33MEMislY0GAlB78wL1_CR\">\n<li class=\"_3gqTEjt4x9UIIpWiro7YXz\">\n<p class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\">On Friday 2020\/03\/20 at about 1:45 PM, an SUV occupied by three males pulled alongside a Mercedes-Benz sedan getting gas at the Shell gas station at Powers Ferry Square, at the corner of Powers Ferry and Roswell Roads in Buckhead.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"_3gqTEjt4x9UIIpWiro7YXz\">\n<p class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\">One of the men from the SUV got out and tried to carjack the Mercedes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"_3gqTEjt4x9UIIpWiro7YXz\">\n<p class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\">When a witness tried to intervene, the carjacker shot at him.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"_3gqTEjt4x9UIIpWiro7YXz\">\n<p class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\">The witness returned fire, shooting the carjacker in the head.[<em>no fooling around with leg, arm or groin shots, this person<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"_3gqTEjt4x9UIIpWiro7YXz\">\n<p class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\">The SUV fled the scene.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"_3gqTEjt4x9UIIpWiro7YXz\">\n<p class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\">The witness stayed at the scene and spoke with police responders, who confirmed that he will not be charged.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"_3gqTEjt4x9UIIpWiro7YXz\">\n<p class=\"_1qeIAgB0cPwnLhDF9XSiJM\">The carjacker was not &#8220;alert, conscious or breathing&#8221; [<em>sounds like &#8216;dead&#8217; to me,<\/em>] and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
