{"id":56282,"date":"2020-06-24T10:20:38","date_gmt":"2020-06-24T15:20:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=56282"},"modified":"2020-06-24T10:20:38","modified_gmt":"2020-06-24T15:20:38","slug":"56282","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=56282","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nraila.org\/articles\/20200623\/indiana-law-eliminating-fees-for-a-license-to-carry-a-handgun-goes-into-effect-july-1st\">Indiana: Law Eliminating Fees for a License to Carry a Handgun Goes into Effect July 1st<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next Wednesday, sections of House Bill 1284 (2019) will go into effect.\u00a0 A five-year License to Carry a Handgun will now be free to obtain.\u00a0\u00a0In addition, applicants\u00a0will have the option to register to vote while applying.\u00a0\u00a0\u200bRemoving barriers for lawful carry in Indiana, including\u00a0taxes and fees, is significant for many Hoosier gun owners that desire to carry for the defense of themselves and others.\u00a0\u00a0A full outline of the law is below:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Updated Sections of Indiana Code from\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/iga.in.gov\/legislative\/2019\/bills\/house\/1284\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>House Bill 1284<\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/iga.in.gov\/legislative\/laws\/2019\/ic\/titles\/034#34-30-31-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IC Section 34-30-31<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Provides immunity for a justified use of force in certain instances to help prevent frivolous lawsuits.
