Trump (@realDonaldTrump) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realDonaldTrump\/status\/1293922936609546240?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 13, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The president, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed released a joint statement Thursday, after the three spoke \u201cand agreed to the full normalization of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.\u201d The statement said that the \u201cdiplomatic breakthrough\u201d was at \u201cthe request of President Trump,\u201d and that Israel will \u201csuspend declaring sovereignty over areas outlined in the President\u2019s Vision for Peace and focus its efforts now on expanding ties with other countries in the Arab and Muslim world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Israel and the UAE also said they will continue their efforts to \u201cachieve a just, comprehensive and enduring resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis historic diplomatic breakthrough will advance peace in the Middle East region and is a testament to the bold diplomacy and vision of the three leaders and the courage of the United Arab Emirates and Israel to chart a new path that will unlock the great potential in the region,\u201d the statement read. \u201cAll three countries face many common challenges and will mutually benefit from today\u2019s historic achievement.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Trump announces &#8216;Historic Peace Agreement&#8217; between Israel, UAE President Trump on Thursday announced what he called a \u201cHistoric Peace Agreement\u201d between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, saying they agreed to \u201cfull normalization of relations.\u201d HUGE breakthrough today!
