Especially at Duke, where 88 professors joined The New York Times, Nancy Grace and Dan Abrams in proclaiming the Duke Lacrosse Team members guilty of rape in advance of any trial.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Men should NEVER have any sort of personal or romantic relationships with female coworkers or fellow students. If women don&#8217;t like that, they can address their complaints to feminism.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.campusreform.org\/article?id=16160\">Duke sorority council bans events with male groups.<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Panhellenic Council at Duke University voted to ban chapters of member sororities from hosting \u201cmixers\u201d with all-male organizations, vowing to place chapters that violate the rule on social probation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.duke.edu\/panhel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Duke Panhellenic Association<\/a>\u00a0\u201cunites women across 10 chapters\u201d of various sororities and is the &#8220;largest unified body of undergraduate women at Duke University.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">According to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CFa3iM3Fovo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">post\u00a0<\/a>on the Duke Panhellenic Association\u2019s Instagram page, the Panhellenic Council voted to ban mixers with all-male organizations to focus on women\u2019s empowerment. The post states that all-male organizations cause concern amongst other groups due to gender dynamics and the objectification of women.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The post defines mixers as \u201cexclusive events between organizations.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cPanhellenic organizations originated in creating safe communities for female-identifying individuals to come together and support one another. However, we\u2019ve come to see that many wide concerns within our community stem from relations with all-male organizations, such as lack of accountability for perpetrators of sexual assault, environments that fuel unsafe gender power dynamics, and a social hierarchy that objectifies women,&#8221; the post states.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Chapters voted to ban both co-hosting and attending mixers that include all-male organizations, as well as \u201cblanket invites\u201d for any events. \u201cBlanket invite refers to invitation extensions directed at organizations such that affiliation with that organization indicates an automatic invitation to an event,\u201d the post explains.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Chapters are still allowed to co-host charitable events with all-male groups, and all-women\u2019s chapters can still hold events with each other and co-ed organizations.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">According to Duke student newspaper\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dukechronicle.com\/article\/2020\/10\/duke-university-panhel-bans-mixers-all-male-groups\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>The Chronicle<\/em><\/a>, any chapters that don\u2019t abide by the policy will be put on social probation and could face recruitment restrictions.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Panhellenic President Kate Chen said of the ban that \u201cthe purpose is to refocus Panhellenic as a community-led by women for women.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The President of Duke\u2019s Interfraternity Council (IFC) Rohan Singh explained that the group is working to fight against and condemns sexual assault: \u201cWe are taking measures to be proactive about eliminating sexual assault within the IFC, and encourage students to report acts of assault to Duke Student Conduct.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.campusreform.org\/?ID=15428\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Campus Reform<\/em><\/a>\u00a0recently covered efforts to ban Greek Life at Stanford University, though a petition that claims \u201cit is still part of a system that is deeply misogynistic, racist, and classist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em>Campus Reform<\/em>\u00a0reached out to Duke University, the Duke Panhellenic Council, and IFC for comment but did not receive a response in time for publication.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I AM STRONG, I AM INVINCIBLE.
