{"id":62825,"date":"2020-12-13T23:16:52","date_gmt":"2020-12-14T05:16:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=62825"},"modified":"2020-12-13T23:17:03","modified_gmt":"2020-12-14T05:17:03","slug":"62825","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=62825","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/12\/13\/33-arrested-4-stabbed-during-maga-march-in-dc-cops\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">33 Arrested, 4 Stabbed During MAGA March in DC<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"article-header\">\n<div class=\"entry-content entry-content-read-more\">\n<p>More than 30 people were arrested in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/12\/12\/violence-erupts-at-trump-rally-as-thousands-protest-election\/\">Washington, DC, protests\u00a0<\/a>over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The arrests stemmed from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/12\/12\/proud-boys-anti-trump-protesters-tangle-in-dc-as-daytime-rallies-end\/\">clashes with cops<\/a>, as well as incidents between supporters of President Trump and counter-protesters in the nation\u2019s capital, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>The Metropolitan Police Department said 33 people were arrested on charges ranging from assaulting a cop to general assault, illegal weapons possession and resisting arrest.<\/p>\n<p>Eight police officers were hurt while trying to quell the unrest,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox5dc.com\/news\/4-stabbed-33-arrested-during-maga-protest-in-dc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WTTG-TV reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Four people also suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds in one confrontation, cops said.<\/p>\n<p>Philip Johnson, 29, of Northwest DC was arrested in the incident and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/12\/13\/one-person-stabbed-during-massive-proud-boys-brawl-in-dc\/\">caught-on-video knife<\/a>\u00a0fight shows a black man surrounded and pummeled by a crowd of Proud Boys, the right-wing group that supports Trump.<\/p>\n<p>The group chased the man \u2014 alleged to be Johnson \u2014 who pulls out a blade to fend off the crowd. A separate video shows a man with a stab wound to the stomach.<\/p>\n<p>The 33 arrests is the most in DC since 21 people were busted at a MAGA rally last month, WTTG said.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday\u2019s march brought thousands of Trump supporters to DC to back the president\u2019s claim that there was widespread fraud in his Election Day loss to former Vice President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>33 Arrested, 4 Stabbed During MAGA March in DC More than 30 people were arrested in the\u00a0Washington, DC, protests\u00a0over the weekend.
