{"id":66038,"date":"2021-03-21T13:47:51","date_gmt":"2021-03-21T19:47:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=66038"},"modified":"2021-03-21T13:47:51","modified_gmt":"2021-03-21T19:47:51","slug":"66038","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=66038","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/chicago.suntimes.com\/crime\/2021\/3\/19\/22339983\/armored-truck-shooting-robbery-north\">Armored truck crew shoots robbery suspect at North Austin bank<\/a><\/p>\n<p>An armored truck crew shot a gunman who tried to rob them Friday morning at a bank in the North Austin neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>An armed passenger of an SUV stepped out and demanded money from a guard as he unloaded an ATM, according to a statement from Chicago police.<\/p>\n<p>The security guard, who worked on the truck, took out his own gun and fired shots, striking the person in the \u201ccenter of his torso area,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n<p>The robbery happened about 8:40 a.m. at a BMO Harris Bank branch at 4959 W. North Ave., police and the FBI said.<\/p>\n<p>The wounded male drove off in the dark-colored SUV and was not in custody, police said. He was last seen going west on North Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI responded to the incident, according to an FBI spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p>Police initially said there was an exchange of gunfire, but later clarified that only the security guard had fired shots.
