\n\u201cTo celebrate our independence from this virus on July 4th with family and friends in small groups, we still have more to do in the months of May and June.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

In March, Joe Biden told America that if we all behave and wear masks, maybe we would be allowed to gather in small groups on the fourth of July.<\/p>\n

Now he is warning that we might not have behaved well enough to celebrate our freedom.<\/p>\n

Biden warns if Americans don\u2019t get COVID jabs they might have to cancel July 4<\/strong><\/p>\n

President Biden on Wednesday warned Americans they may have to cancel \u201csmall\u201d outdoor gatherings on the Fourth of July if there\u2019s a slowdown of COVID-19 vaccinations.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

<\/p>\n

More than 51 percent of American adults have received at least one vaccine dose, according to CDC data, indicating that herd immunity and the pandemic\u2019s end are near.<\/p>\n

But Biden said at the White House that he\u2019s not yet comfortable saying people can hold small outdoor gatherings on Independence Day.<\/p>\n

\u201cBack on March 11, I outlined a vision of what America could look like by the Fourth of July \u2014 an America that was much closer to normal life that we left behind more than a year ago,\u201d Biden said.<\/p>\n

He warned: \u201cTo celebrate our independence from this virus on July 4th with family and friends in small groups, we still have more to do in the months of May and June. We all need to mask up until the number of cases goes down, until everyone has a chance to get their shot.\u201d<\/p>\n
