I don&#8217;t care what the British think about rights. We told them where to go and how to get there concerning them, and we actually helped a lot of them on their travels in two wars before they finally got the idea through their thick heads.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.libertyparkpress.com\/harry-1st-amendment-bonkers-so-hell-have-real-trouble-with-2nd\/\">Harry: 1st Amendment \u2018Bonkers\u2019 So He\u2019ll Have Real Trouble with 2nd<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fox News\u00a0is reporting\u00a0that Prince Harry ignited a media firestorm when he stated during a podcast interview that he thinks the First Amendment is \u201cbonkers.\u201dIf that\u2019s the case, he\u2019s liable to cause a social and political earthquake if he ever takes a position on the Second Amendment.<\/p>\n<p>Harry, also known as the Duke of Sussex, made the observation while appearing on an episode of \u201cArmchair Expert,\u201d the podcast hosted by Dax Shepard and Monica Padman.<\/p>\n<p>Harry and wife, Meghan Markle, have set up housekeeping in Los Angeles. The Duke\u2014not to be confused with American icon John Wayne\u2014was holding forth on what he considers a media \u201cfeeding frenzy\u201d when his every move is watched by the media, especially paparazzi. His mother, Princess Diana, died as the result of a car crash in which the driver of the car she was in was trying to elude photographers. That occurred in Paris in 1997.<\/p>\n<p>Harry had been staying at the Beverly Hills mansion owned by actor\/producer Tyler Perry. He told Shepard and Padman, \u201cI don\u2019t want to start sort of going down the First Amendment route because that\u2019s a huge subject and one in which I don\u2019t understand because I\u2019ve only been here a short period of time,\u201d Harry\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/armchairexpertpod.com\/pods\/prince-harry\">said<\/a>. \u201cBut, you can find a loophole in anything. Soon he will not be wanted on either side of the pond.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And Dinesh D\u2019Souza, the filmmaker and author asked rhetorically, \u201cI wonder if he also thinks the Fourth Amendment is \u2018bollocks\u2019 and the 14th Amendment is \u2018pish-posh.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, nobody wanted to approach the Second Amendment. That\u2019s probably toxic, because it deals directly with how this country was born. The right to keep and bear arms is fascinating to many in the United Kingdom. They often contact gun rights advocates for comment when there is a high profile shooting in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>Many activists consider the Second Amendment to be the cornerstone of the Bill of Rights; the \u201cinsurance policy\u201d built into the Constitution so citizens of the United States could resist tyranny, both foreign and domestic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I think we covered this back in the late 18th Century.
