Thusly&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/localnews8.com\/news\/utah\/2021\/06\/03\/utah-sheriffs-department-enacts-policy-defending-gun-rights\/\">Utah sheriff\u2019s department enacts policy defending gun rights<\/a><\/p>\n<p>ARMINGTON, Utah (AP) \u2014 Davis County sheriff\u2019s deputies and other department employees are prohibited under a new office policy from enforcing certain measures that could infringe on the right to bear arms.<\/p>\n<p>The Standard-Examiner reported Sheriff Kelly Sparks says the policy is meant as a preventive measure and counterweight to any possible governmental action to interfere with gun rights in the county.<\/p>\n<p>The policy took effect Tuesday, the same day county commissioners expressed support for the move.<\/p>\n<p>Sparks says no specific measure or event prompted the change, and that the move is more \u201cactionable\u201d than declaring Second Amendment sanctuary status.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The federal goobermint desperately wants some new gun control law passed.\u00a0 They\u2019re doing everything they can to get something, anything and the only thing that is stopping them &#8211; right now &#8211; is the Senate filibuster.
