{"id":68909,"date":"2021-06-11T08:12:05","date_gmt":"2021-06-11T13:12:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=68909"},"modified":"2021-06-11T08:12:05","modified_gmt":"2021-06-11T13:12:05","slug":"68909","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=68909","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/washington-secrets\/americans-back-right-to-carry-concealed-guns-2-1\">Likely voters back right to carry concealed guns, 2-1<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a slap at President\u00a0<a class=\"autolink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden?utm_campaign=autolink&amp;utm_source=internal&amp;utm_medium=autolink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joe Biden<\/a>\u2019s new effort to impose gun control and tax and regulate one of the nation\u2019s most popular (and concealable) firearms, people overwhelmingly have endorsed expanding the Second Amendment to include carrying concealed weapons.<\/p>\n<p>In a new\u00a0<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/zogbyanalytics.com\/news\/1018-the-zogby-poll-should-second-amendment-to-the-constitution-which-is-the-right-to-bear-arms-should-also-include-the-right-to-conceal-and-carry-a-gun\">Zogby Poll<\/a>\u00a0provided to Secrets Thursday just minutes before the administration released its\u00a0<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/washington-secrets\/new-taxes-under-biden-gun-registration-push-will-reach-billions\">rule to target AR-rifle-style pistols,<\/a>\u00a0likely voters by a 63%-29% margin endorsed the idea.<\/p>\n<div class=\"Enhancement\">\n<div class=\"Enhancement-item\">\n<figure class=\"Figure mb-1 mb-sm-3 mb-md-1 article-lead-photo data_invisible\" data-align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mediadc.brightspotcdn.com\/dims4\/default\/581edc1\/2147483647\/strip\/true\/crop\/624x425+0+0\/resize\/624x425!\/quality\/90\/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmediadc-brightspot.s3.amazonaws.com%2F9c%2F6b%2F272f5f7947648c395781c1bc1be2%2Fconsealedcarry060721.png\" alt=\"consealedcarry060721.png\" data-image-size=\"fixed\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In his analysis, pollster Jonathan Zogby said that most voters \u201cagreed that the Second Amendment to the Constitution should also encompass the right to carry a concealed gun. A majority of voters supported concealed carry as a part of the Second Amendment in all regions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The poll, one of a series he released through Secrets this week, is the first to find support for concealed carry laws to be added to the Second Amendment.<\/p>\n<p>And it comes as the Supreme Court is considering a New York ban on concealed carry and Biden is eyeing new gun control laws, including taxing and registering millions of legally purchased AR-rifle-style pistols.<\/p>\n<p>Concealed carry has become a hot-button issue as some liberal states move to limit the issuance of permits, though a majority do.
