{"id":69530,"date":"2021-07-06T11:30:13","date_gmt":"2021-07-06T16:30:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=69530"},"modified":"2021-07-06T11:30:13","modified_gmt":"2021-07-06T16:30:13","slug":"69530","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=69530","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wane.com\/news\/indiana\/indiana-state-police-website-overwhelmed-as-state-offers-free-lifetime-gun-permits\/\">More than 7,000 Hoosiers apply for free lifetime gun permits<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It would appear Indiana\u2019s lifetime gun permits are in demand, now that they\u2019re free.<\/p>\n<p>The Indiana State Police\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/firearms.ariesportal.com\/\">firearms licensing websit<\/a>e experienced a \u201chigh number\u201d of applicants that stopped many in their tracks as they attempted to apply for a lifetime gun permit Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>On July 1, the lifetime license to carry a handgun became free.<\/p>\n<div class=\"nlp-ignore-block article-content rich-text\">\n<aside class=\"promo-link\">When applicants visited the website, some were met with a message: \u201cWe\u2019re sorry\u2026\u201d<\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cDue to a high number of current applicants, we must limit the number of individuals applying at one time. Please try again later.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many, though, we successfully able to apply for the free permits. Indiana State Police told WANE 15 that 7,054 lifetime permit applications were submitted Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re still having trouble applying for a free lifetime gun permit, state police said in a statement Thursday to just be patient.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cToday is the first day where Indiana Hoosiers can now go online and apply for a free lifetime permit to carry a handgun.\u00a0As expected, the Indiana State Police is receiving a large influx of applications being submitted on this first day.
