Climate Scientist Warns \u2018Next 20-30 Years Will Be Cold\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n

Climate scientist Dr. Willie Soon has urged his fellow academics to pay closer attention to the sun\u2019s activity, which suggests several decades of global cooling rather than warming.<\/p>\n

Speaking this week with Alex Newman of the New American, Soon, a Malaysian astrophysicist and aerospace engineer,\u00a0said<\/a> that \u201cwhat we predict is that the next 20-30 years will be cold. It will be cold, so it will be a very interesting thing for the IPCC to confront.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sun is in a \u201cweakened state\u201d and far less active than during the 1980s and 1990s, Soon noted, which should last until \u201caround 2050.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole climate system is powered 99.1 percent by the sun\u2019s energy,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Soon, a researcher at the Solar and Stellar Physics Division of the Harvard\u2013Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, said that global cooling is a far greater source of concern than global warming.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will have a lot more problems were the planet to cool rather than warm,\u201d Soon insisted.<\/p>\n

Humanity can solve a lot of problems including overheating, but the problem of a \u201clittle ice age\u201d like that of the 1700s, \u201cthose problems are much harder to solve,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you want to face a serious problem, worry about an ice age; never worry about global warming,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n

Soon\u2019s warnings dovetail with a\u00a0report<\/a>\u00a0Wednesday of billions of dollars of Chinese investment into elite American universities to promote climate alarmism as \u201cone of the Chinese Communist Party\u2019s chief weapons against the United States of America.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The U.S. State Department uncovered $6.5 billion in undeclared university, most of which came from China, in an attempt to \u201cproject \u2018soft power,\u2019 steal sensitive and proprietary research and development data and other intellectual property, and spread propaganda benefitting foreign governments.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIt makes perfect sense that the Chinese Communists are manipulating fears of a climate catastrophe to its advantage,\u201d the report noted. \u201cThe CCP wants the U.S. and other nations to pass laws making energy and manufacturing more expensive while they expand their economy, take our industries and our jobs and do so with little regard for the environment or human rights.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a strategic geopolitical tool used by China and other nations that want to weaken America, and the freedoms we enjoy,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
