The overarching reason President Biden didn\u2019t get tens of thousands of Afghan allies out of the country sooner is incompetence, both on his part and his administration\u2019s. It\u2019s not much more complicated than that.<\/p>\n<p>Catherine Rampell is an op-ed columnist for the Washington Post, and she posits a number of theories why the Biden administration didn\u2019t get more of our allies out of Afghanistan sooner. Maybe he didn\u2019t want to project a lack of faith in the Afghan government. Maybe people just didn\u2019t want to leave. Or there\u2019s the \u201cmore stomach-turning possibility\u201d that Biden didn\u2019t act sooner because the president \u201cwas afraid of what Fox News might say.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So it\u2019s the fault of Fox News, really.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Many explanations floated for why Biden admin didn\u2019t get Afghan allies out earlier.
