{"id":73947,"date":"2024-11-05T00:03:45","date_gmt":"2024-11-05T05:03:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=73947"},"modified":"2024-11-04T16:27:35","modified_gmt":"2024-11-04T21:27:35","slug":"73947","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=73947","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>Remember, remember, the 5th of November, gunpowder, treason and plot<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em>I see no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/allnurseryrhymes.com\/the-fifth-of-november\/\">The Fifth Of November<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cRemember, remember the Fifth of November\u201d or \u201cPlease to Remember\u201d are variations of a rhyme that commemorates the day in 1605 when a group of Roman Catholics, including Guy Fawkes, were caught in the act of trying to blow up the Houses of Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>When news of the plot got out, Londoners were so relieved that the conspirators had been caught that they lit bonfires throughout the city as a celebration. Over the centuries those celebrations have become more elaborate and now fabulous firework displays are a feature throughout England on the night of November 5th.
