{"id":74684,"date":"2021-11-24T00:02:49","date_gmt":"2021-11-24T06:02:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=74684"},"modified":"2021-11-24T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-11-24T06:00:00","slug":"74684","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=74684","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/23\/hypocrisy-kamala-harris-slammed-trump-refilling-oil-reserves-biden-drained\/\">Hypocrisy: Kamala Harris Slammed Trump for Refilling Oil Reserves that Joe Biden Just Drained<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"subheading\">Vice President Kamala Harris\u2019s hypocrisy was on display Tuesday as President Joe Biden raided oil reserves despite her having slammed then-President Donald Trump in 2020 for refilling them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbsolutely unacceptable that Trump is prioritizing bailing out Big Oil companies while dragging his feet to support millions of unemployed people, workers, small businesses, and state and local governments,\u201d Harris\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/vp\/status\/1257125614194176002?lang=de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">tweeted<\/a> in 2020 during the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Trump refilled the oil reserves\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/2021\/10\/11\/gas-prices-triple-crude-oil-above-80-supply-shortage-4-dollars-per-gallon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">during<\/a>\u00a0the pandemic when prices were three times less than Tuesday\u2019s\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/gasprices.aaa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">prices<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0$3.403, according to the AAA. The low prices were threatening American producers\u2019 ability to compete with the deep pockets of OPEC, which have no interest in competing with American oil producers.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The market was unimpressed by the release of 50 million barrels. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/guvhcczf5p\">https:\/\/t.co\/guvhcczf5p<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1463172916129021963?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 23, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce this straightens out, and once you get some demand and then you\u2019re gonna reduce the supply a little bit it\u2019ll equalize and be great again,\u201d Trump said in April of 2020. \u201cWe want to remain independent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, however, the Biden-Harris administration announced they would drain the reserves that Trump refilled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to address another challenge that families are facing, and the one I think they\u2019re most focused on right now: high gas prices,\u201d Biden said during his live remarks. \u201cI\u2019m announcing that the largest ever release from the U.S. strategic petroleum reserve to help provide the supply we need as we recover from this pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The hypocrisy caught the attention of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who highlighted Harris\u2019s duplicity of raiding oil reserves that Trump refilled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVice President Kamala Harris opposed President Trump\u2019s decision to fill America\u2019s Strategic Petroleum Reserve\u2014the very reserve that President Biden is exploiting for political convenience today,\u201d McCarthy tweeted. \u201cUtter hypocrisy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Biden-Harris administration has sought to destroy American energy independence during the supply chain crisis. In January, the administration canceled the Keystone Pipeline and is currently determining whether to shut down another pipeline in Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>And instead of taking responsibility for the raging oil prices during the supply chain crisis, produced in large part by Democrat unemployment payments, the administration has accused oil companies of earning record-high profits.
