{"id":75319,"date":"2021-12-14T11:16:38","date_gmt":"2021-12-14T17:16:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=75319"},"modified":"2021-12-14T11:16:38","modified_gmt":"2021-12-14T17:16:38","slug":"75319","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=75319","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/12\/13\/still-no-deaths-from-omicron-and-americans-are-getting-on-with-their-lives\/\">Still No Deaths From Omicron, And Americans Are Getting On With Their Lives.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Americans are returning to normal despite the corporate media\u2019s attempts to drum up alarm over the supposedly \u201chighly transmissible\u201d Omicron variant of COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>While corporate media outlets panicked and revived permanent pandemic narratives and talk of more lockdowns, a new poll from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/holiday-season-omicron-opinion-poll\/\">CBS News and YouGov<\/a> found that of 1,731 people surveyed, 81 percent said they have not rearranged plans because of the Omicron variant or the hype surrounding it. In fact, a majority said they still plan to keep their normal holiday traditions and routines. Sixty-eight percent still plan to \u201cgather with friends and family,\u201d 64 percent said they will do their Christmas shopping in person, and 52 percent said they will eat in a restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>Only 17 percent of those surveyed said they were \u201cvery concerned about Omicron,\u201d while about 42 percent said they were not concerned at all about Omicron despite the initial media and bureaucracy-induced panic about it.<\/p>\n<p>These Americans\u2019 thoughts on Omicron are validated by the data. As it turns out, not one single COVID-19-related death in the U.S. from Dec. 1-8 was found to be caused by the Omicron variant. As of Friday, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/mmwr\/volumes\/70\/wr\/mm7050e1.htm?s_cid=mm7050e1_w\">Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a>\u00a0found that of the 43 people infected with the Omicron strain of COVID, most cases manifested only mild symptoms such as \u201ca cough, fatigue, and congestion or a runny nose.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The CDC report also found that \u201cone individual, who was vaccinated, required a brief hospital stay\u201d and that a majority of cases, 79 percent, were in fully vaccinated individuals.<\/p>\n<p>The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control\u2019s measures of Omicron produced similar results in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecdc.europa.eu\/en\/news-events\/epidemiological-update-omicron-data-12-december\">report<\/a>\u00a0released Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere have been no Omicron-related deaths reported thus far,\u201d the European health agency claimed, noting that most cases of Omicron-related COVID presented as \u201ceither asymptomatic or mild.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Still No Deaths From Omicron, And Americans Are Getting On With Their Lives.
