{"id":76146,"date":"2022-01-15T13:06:47","date_gmt":"2022-01-15T19:06:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=76146"},"modified":"2022-01-15T13:06:47","modified_gmt":"2022-01-15T19:06:47","slug":"76146","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=76146","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc10.com\/article\/news\/local\/ceres-man-shot-while-allegedly-trying-to-break-into-home\/103-da2d49ab-5ee4-4938-9481-c2f5680c755b\">Ceres man shot after allegedly trying to break into home<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>CERES, Calif. \u2014 Police believe a man found\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc10.com\/article\/news\/local\/person-found-shot-ceres\/103-a268be7a-8c34-4b5e-9030-fe9ef4c33a23\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shot in the backyard of a Ceres home<\/a>\u00a0Thursday was trying to break into the home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>According to a press release from the Ceres Police Department, officers received a call Thursday just after 4 a.m. for a report of a man shot outside of a home along the 2300 block of Moffett Road. Upon arrival, police found 23-year-old Anthony Robledo in the backyard of the home, suffering from a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n<p>During their investigation, police believe Robledo was attempting to break into the home through a back window. When a resident of the home saw Robledo with a gun trying to enter, the resident shot at Robledo, hitting him multiple times.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shouselaw.com\/ca\/blog\/penal-code\/does-california-follow-the-castle-doctrine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">California&#8217;s \u201ccastle doctrine\u201d is the law<\/a>\u00a0that is applied to self-defense inside a person\u2019s home.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc10.com\/article\/news\/local\/california\/what-are-your-rights-protect-your-family-property\/103-b92bf5c2-4a63-4001-a50f-3df43deb7807\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">A Sacramento attorney previously told ABC10<\/a>\u00a0a person may use reasonable force to defend themselves on their own private property when they believe an intruder may cause them harm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>Robledo was taken to the hospital where police said he is listed critical condition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ceres man shot after allegedly trying to break into home CERES, Calif. \u2014 Police believe a man found\u00a0shot in the backyard of a Ceres home\u00a0Thursday was trying to break into the home.
