That\u2019s just great.<\/p>\n<p>The fruit, apparently, doesn\u2019t fall that far from the global elitist narrative tree.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps looking to ride the coattails of those ganging up on \u201ccontroversial anti-vaxx misinformation\u201d (read: any uttered thought not handed down by Dr. Anthony Fauci from the heavens above) or perhaps looking to drum up support by her Twitter sycophants, Chelsea Clinton took to her Twitter account last week to lash out at Substack for\u00a0<em>providing a platform for free speech<\/em>\u00a0and for people to\u00a0<em>voluntarily\u00a0<\/em>subscribe to newsletters they\u2019re interested in and willing to pay for.<\/p>\n<p>Wow,\u00a0<em>sounds nefarious<\/em>, Chelsea! To the victor go the spoils,\u00a0<em>The Guardian.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Several paragraphs into the\u00a0<em>Guardian\u00a0<\/em>article, Substack rightly fired back, reminding me of\u00a0<em>exactly\u00a0<\/em>why I chose this platform as an outlet for my content. It lasted two seasons and was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/nbc-cancels-williams-newsmagazine-rock-211247564.html\" rel=\"\">cancelled due to low ratings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Williams was then suspended from NBC in February 2015 after claiming a military helicopter he was in during the Iraq War had been &#8220;forced down after being hit by an RPG&#8221;, which turned out to be a fabrication. He was earning $10 million per year at the time. IAC is led by billionaire Clinton ally Barry Diller, who also chairs the Expedia board, where Chelsea\u00a0<em>also\u00a0<\/em>sits.<\/p>\n<p>Clinton reportedly earned $300,000 for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-6985787\/Chelsea-Clinton-300K-attending-just-six-IAC-meetings-6-3-million-stock.html\" rel=\"\">attending just six meetings<\/a>\u00a0as a Board Member of IAC in 2018, the Daily Mail reported in 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cSome members of the Expedia board were only obligated to attend two meetings last year,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0The Mail reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChelsea will soon own just over $400,000 of Expedia stock and shares in IAC that add up to an astonishing $6.3 million,\u201d the report continued.<\/p>\n<p>Clinton has also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/investors.cloverhealth.com\/governance\/board-of-directors\" rel=\"\">served on the board of Clover Health<\/a>\u00a0since February 2017. As of 2020, she\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1801170\/000119312520316042\/d69158ddefm14a.htm\" rel=\"\">held more than<\/a>\u00a0685,000 options valued at about $4.6 million.
