The Road to Serfdom\u2014We\u2019re Almost There<\/a><\/p>\n

We are learning March 18 something that apparently slipped under the radar for a few days.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) \u201c<\/span>quietly<\/span><\/a>\u201d made some changes to its data tracker website on March 15, removing tens of thousands of deaths from\u00a0<\/span>COVID-19<\/span><\/a>, nearly a quarter of which were those for young people under 18.<\/span><\/p>\n

They tell us this occurred because of a \u201ccoding logic error.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I wonder how many they would have had to remove if they included those who were registered by hospitals\u2014for profit or otherwise\u2014as having died from the virus when they had multiple other of what we have learned to call co-morbidities. (If there\u2019s one thing we can say for the pandemic, it built our vocabularies.)<\/span><\/p>\n

In other words, they didn\u2019t necessarily die of COVID-19, but the hospitals said they did, a different kind of coding error, I guess.<\/span><\/p>\n

The number would likely be staggering.<\/span><\/p>\n

This supposed\u00a0\u201ccoding logic error\u201d\u2014whatever that may be; the CDC doesn\u2019t precisely tell us\u2014could indeed be symbolic of, or even actually encompass, the entire pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n

From this we can make the assumption, if we haven\u2019t already, the pandemic was, and is, extraordinarily overblown, an event that figuratively and literally threw us back to the Middle Ages with people locked down, masked, force vaccinated, businesses shut, schools closed, and science turned inside out, leaving the entire globe in chaos.<\/span><\/p>\n

And yet, to adopt the title of Neil Sheehan\u2019s book about the Vietnam War, the whole thing was \u201cA Bright Shining Lie.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, people died, but they do for myriad reasons under varying circumstances. That\u2019s been the condition on planet Earth from time immemorial.\u00a0More died in this instance because simple and immediate treatments were abjured in favor of far more expensive ones dangerous in themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

But that is only one of the reasons the pandemic became as pervasive as it did, taking over all our lives.\u00a0How did it come to pass that what could have been an unpleasant, even severe, but containable health problem evolved into a civilization-destroying pandemic?<\/span><\/p>\n

Even now, at this early stage, we must ask the age-old question,\u00a0<\/span>cui bono\u2014<\/span><\/em>who benefits?\u00a0<\/span>The answer lies in a statement with which we have recently become all too familiar:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYou will own nothing, and you will be happy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Happy that COVID is over?\u00a0Oh, no.\u00a0Not really. They didn\u2019t mean that.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many now recognize that sentence for what it is\u2014the marching mantra of the \u201cGreat Reset.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

For those who might still be confused, in a well-wrought\u00a0<\/span>article<\/span><\/a>\u00a0for The Epoch Times, Australians Gabriel Moens and Augusto Zimmerman clarify:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe \u2018Great Reset\u2019 may be described as a radical international-socialist plan designed to \u2018reset\u2019 the world economy. The goal is to install a highly centralised, heavily regulated, totalitarian system akin to that of China\u2019s Social Credit System.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ground Zero of this reset is the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, that glorious alpine redoubt cum airport for private jets miraculously powered by solar energy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The leading progenitor of the \u201creset\u201d is Klaus Schwab\u2014co-author of the 2020 tome \u201cCOVID-19: The Great Reset.\u201d\u00a0He is joined by various tech billionaires, captains of industry, state leaders, and royals, all of whom, needless to say, have the interest of the common man at heart\u2014at least they say they do.\u00a0 (Remember: \u201cYou will be happy.\u201d)<\/span><\/p>\n

Those that espouse the Great Reset did not create COVID-19.\u00a0For the moment we can assume that came from human error at the Wuhan Virology Lab. I hope we can anyway, since the deliberate release of the pathogen would be too horrifying to contemplate.<\/span><\/p>\n

But they\u2014the Great Resetters\u2014seized upon the virus as an unprecedented opportunity to hasten their goals of global control.\u00a0The CDC, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the World Health Organization (WHO) became in essence their agents with U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases head Anthony Fauci as their spokesperson. The rest is the dark history we have all been living through.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite some insisting otherwise, this devotion to, or more precisely exploitation of, COVID-19 is not stopping.<\/span><\/p>\n

Only March 17,\u00a0<\/span>The New York Times<\/span><\/a>\u00a0reported the following from one of our major vaccine producers:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cModerna said late Thursday that it asked the Food and Drug Administration for emergency authorization of a second booster of its coronavirus vaccine for all adults, a significantly broader request than Pfizer and BioNTech filed for their shot this week.<\/span><\/p>\n

The request is likely to intensify the latest round of an ongoing scientific debate over how long protection from the two most-used vaccines in the United States lasts in the face of new variants.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Ah, yet more shots as the \u201cGreat Reset\u201d takes us on what Friedrich Hayek famously and presciently called \u201cThe Road to Serfdom.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
