Ron DeSantis announced Tuesday he has called a special legislative session to be held next month, during which lawmakers could bring up other legislative issues, including constitutional carry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would love to have property insurance, I would love to have data privacy, I would love to have constitutional carry,\u201d DeSantis said Tuesday. \u201cI will ask the legislative leaders, \u2018Is there something that you can get across the finish line?\u2019 And I will encourage them to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A joint statement sent by Senate President Wilton Simpson and House Speaker Chris Sprowls said the special session could start April 19.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, 24 states allow law-abiding residents to carry concealed firearms without government fees or permits.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Florida Gov.
