Another Day, Another Clean-up on Aisle 46: Biden Drops a Whopper on Renewable Energy<\/a><\/p>\n As sure as the sun rises in the east every day, two things are certain: First, Joe Biden \u2014 whose relationship with the truth is arm\u2019s length at best \u2014 is going to say something that makes no sense at all, make up something really stupid, exaggerate or minimize the hell out of something, or purposely lie his ass off.<\/p>\n Bank it.<\/p>\n Second, there will be another clean-up in aisle 46. A White House staffer or a senior member of the administration is going to \u201ccorrect\u201d or explain what Joe meant to say, or didn\u2019t mean to say, while the lapdog media flies wingman.<\/p>\n Bank that, too.<\/p>\n In today\u2019s case in point, as\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0by the New York Post, the White House was forced to correct the claim Biden made during\u00a0his remarks<\/a>\u00a0announcing the planned release of 180 million barrels of oil from\u00a0the Strategic Petroleum Reserve<\/a>\u00a0over the next six months: Americans who use renewable energy to power their homes could save \u201cabout $500 a month on average.\u201d<\/p>\n If your home is powered by safer, cheaper, cleaner electricity, like solar or heat pumps, you can save about $500 a month on average.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Just one problem. Not even close to the truth. Biden overstated the\u00a0estimated<\/em>\u00a0savings by $5,500.<\/p>\n Within hours \u2014 why hours? \u2014 the administration was forced to make a correction: it sent out a transcript of the bumbling Biden\u2019s remarks with the word \u201cmonth\u201d crossed out and the word \u201cyear\u201d added in brackets. According to the Post, the fact sheet sent to reporters prior to the speech contained the correct numbers.<\/p>\n If I were a cynic, I\u2019d suggest Lyin\u2019 Biden does this crap on purpose, knowing full well that more people will see him say \u201cit\u201d than will see a corrected transcript. Nah, that\u2019s giving Corn Pop\u2019s pal far too much credit.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Biden was also criticized on social media for the following claim, as transcribed by the Post.<\/p>\n We can take advantage of the next generation of electric vehicles [so] that a typical driver will save about $80 a month from not having to pay [for] gas at the pump.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Um, Joe?<\/p>\n
