But the poor man kept getting confused about whether inflation was a good thing (\u201cIt\u2019s our strength\u201d he\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/president-biden-bungles-address-refers-to-inflation-as-strength\">babbled<\/a>) before his handlers and a supplicant press corp glossed it over.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve noted elsewhere that for all the sippy cups banging\u00a0on the highchairs of America\u2019s elite,\u00a0<em>Roe<\/em>\u00a0is simply not the high-salience issue that will re-elect Biden. Not when\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/05\/11\/two-thirds-of-americans-live-paycheck-to-paycheck-as-inflation-climbs.html\">business news<\/a>\u00a0sites (even those run by Biden-friendly corporations) point out that as of right now:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAs of March, close to two-thirds, or 64%, of the U.S. population was living paycheck to paycheck, just shy of the high of 65% in 2020, according to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/23-of-the-us-population-now-lives-paycheck-to-paycheck-301536811.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LendingClub report<\/a>. \u201cThe number of people living paycheck to paycheck today is reminiscent of the early days of the pandemic and it has become the dominant lifestyle across income brackets,\u201d said Anuj Nayar, LendingClub\u2019s financial health officer.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yet, Democrats are still struggling to understand the importance of bread-on-the-table issues and keep whistling past that graveyard. One outfit,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dnyuz.com\/2022\/05\/11\/in-an-uphill-year-democrats-of-all-stripes-worry-about-electability\/\">interviewing Democratic officials<\/a>\u00a0nervous about \u201celectability,\u201d said that:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOn Monday night, several left-leaning congressional candidates joined an emergency organizing call with activists reeling from a draft Supreme Court ruling overturning\u00a0<em>Roe v.
