\nOf course, even if you do have armed security in a school, they have to have the fortitude to use their arms, not just stand around.<\/p>\n
Good Guys with Guns End Monday Morning Attack at St. Louis School<\/a><\/p>\n A shooting at\u00a0Central Visual and Performing Arts High School (CVPA) Monday morning shortly after nine was \u201cquickly stopped\u201d by police inside the school.<\/p>\n Fox2Now\u00a0points out\u00a0that \u201can adult female\u201d and a teenager were killed in the shooting. The shooting suspect is deceased as well.<\/p>\n Police indicate there were seven active officers on the campus and there was \u201can exchange of gunfire\u201d between the suspect and police. KMOV\u00a0reports<\/a> that the shooting suspect had a long gun and was \u201ca man around 20 years old.\u201d<\/p>\n At 9:47 a.m. St. Louis Public Schools\u00a0tweeted<\/a>: \u201cPolice are on site at Central Visual and Performing Arts this morning following reports of an active shooter and both CVPA and Collegiate are on lockdown. The shooter was quickly stopped by police inside CVPA. We have reports of 2 students injured and on the way to the hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n The\u00a0St. Louis Post-Dispatch<\/em>\u00a0notes,<\/a>\u00a0 \u201cDavid Williams, a math teacher at the school, said the school principal came over the loudspeaker around 9 a.m. and said the code word that indicates a school shooter is in the building.\u201d<\/p>\n Williams said he then heard gunshots outside of his classroom.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Now, we’ve all heard from those people who don’t even want armed, in uniform, police resource officers in schools.
