Ngo captured part of John Hacker\u2019s attack on video.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe shaky video is less than 30 seconds long, but prosecutors say it\u2019s a key piece of evidence showing Hacker approaching Ngo, grabbing the device, and yelling, \u201cI will break your f*cking phone,\u201d the news website reported.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy District Attorney argued before the judge that Hacker had conducted a \u201charassment campaign targeting Ngo for years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, Hacker was part of a mob that chased Ngo in downtown Portland, forcing the journalist to seek a hiding place at a posh hotel.<\/p>\n<div class=\"twitter-tweet twitter-tweet-rendered\">\nIn another incident, Antifa thugs poured a cement-like mixture all over Ngo\u2019s face after beating him, sending the journalist to the hospital with a brain injury.Hacker testified that he went after Ngo and stole his phone because Ngo doxxed his Antifa friends. Then Hacker testified that he doxxes the right people, \u201cviolent people\u201d and \u201cNazis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Ngo pointed out on Twitter, his attacker admitted \u201c<span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">to dumping liquid on me, confronting me, hitting me, stealing my phone &amp; fleeing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But the judge wasn\u2019t moved by this attack on Ngo or persuaded by Antifa\u2019s dogged stalking of the journalist. Rather, Judge Eric Dahlin lectured both men as if Ngo were the guilty party or had asked to be attacked and have his phone stolen by Hacker. Dahlin told them, \u201cif anyone is interested in actually making positive changes to society, I would ask that you all examine your own methods, and ask yourselves, are these methods that I\u2019m using helpful? Is it actually making a positive impact?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I wonder if this judge asks all assault victims if they \u201cshould examine [their] methods\u201d?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ngo, who suffers from stress from all of Antifa\u2019s attacks on him over the years, was asked by the DDA \u201cif he was nervous to be in the courtroom.\u201d Ngo responded, \u201cYes, because I\u2019m in the presence of Mr. Hacker.\u201d Undoubtedly Hacker\u2019s \u201cfriends\u201d were in the courtroom and ready to follow Ngo. You can count on it.<\/p>\n<div class=\"twitter-tweet twitter-tweet-rendered\">\n<p>Hacker and his friends have been hounding the journalist for years. Ngo writes about Antifa activities in Portland, often using police mug shots that upset the hardened bunch in Antifa. After Antifa attacked another Portland journalist, who pulled his legal gun to back them off without firing a shot and went\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/columns\/victoria-taft\/2020\/09\/02\/exclusive-case-of-portland-man-who-defended-himself-against-antifa-mob-heads-to-supreme-court-n876896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">to jail for it,<\/a>\u00a0Ngo is one of only a few who still report on these thugs.<\/p>\n<p>I talked with Hacker for my\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.victoriataft.com\/interview-with-the-anti-fascist-part-one\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adult in the Room Podcast<\/a>\u00a0before I knew he was Ngo\u2019s attacker.
