Demand for \u2018Commonsense Gun Laws\u2019 is the Road to Citizen Disarmament<\/a><\/p>\n

U.S.A. \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0-(Ammoland.com<\/a>)-\u00a0\u201cPolls show that a majority of Americans want Congress to pass commonsense gun laws,\u201d\u00a0Dave Saldana asserts for\u00a0Reader\u2019s Digest<\/em><\/a>\u00a0in an opinionated hit piece on the right to keep and bear arms posted (under \u201cnews,\u201d naturally) on MSN. \u201cThese laws would not ban gun ownership or repeal the Second Amendment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reader\u2019s Digest<\/em>\u2026how disappointing. I guess with all the other woke \u201ccapitalist rope-sellers,\u201d seeing them turn was to be expected.<\/p>\n

Who Saldana is and what qualifies him as an authority is unclear. What is clear is he\u2018s a lefty propagandist who cherry-picks what we\u2019re to assume are \u201cfacts\u201d from sources with demonstrable anti-gun agendas. And his arguments fall on their faces right out of the starting gate.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

What the \u201cmajority of Americans want\u201d depends not only on where the polls lead them with calculated questions but also on what they actually know about the \u201claws\u201d they are being queried on, which in this case, is mostly what the media tells them. That, and rights aren\u2019t contingent on majority rule\u2014otherwise, two of us could do whatever we wanted to one of you.<\/p>\n

Funny how when you test them on it, protecting minorities isn\u2019t really what the left wants to do at all. Unless by \u201cminority,\u201d you mean the global elites\u2026<\/p>\n

As for the assurance that 2A and guns are safe if you give the grabbers what they want, the rest of Saldana\u2019s regurgitation of tired talking points and goals they\u2019ve let slip for decades show that to be a lie. And since the right it recognizes was not created by the government, something that has been recognized in the\u00a0Cruikshank<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Heller<\/em>\u00a0cases by the Supreme Court, repealing the Second Amendment would not eliminate what it was worded to protect,\u00a0the ravings of retired dotard \u201cjustices\u201d notwithstanding<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In any case, saying they won\u2019t take\u00a0all\u00a0<\/em>guns when they have no legitimate authority to take\u00a0any<\/em>\u00a0is more than a bit like saying \u201cWe don\u2019t want to rape you, just molest you a bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

The only rational response to that is \u201cNo. Your move.\u201d\u00a0Besides, they really\u00a0do<\/em>\u00a0want to rape you.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s look at what this Saldana character is telling anyone ignorant enough to support their own disarmament by a violence monopoly equates with \u201ccommonsense\u201d:<\/p>\n
