{"id":91063,"date":"2023-03-22T13:07:35","date_gmt":"2023-03-22T18:07:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=91063"},"modified":"2023-03-22T13:07:35","modified_gmt":"2023-03-22T18:07:35","slug":"91063","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milesfortis.com\/?p=91063","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/buckrail.com\/governor-gordon-restores-gun-rights-to-non-violent-felons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wyoming Governor Gordon restores gun rights to non-violent felons<\/a><\/p>\n<p>WYOMING \u2014 On March 17, Governor Gordon signed a bill giving back gun rights to non-violent felons five years after they complete their sentencing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wyoleg.gov\/Legislation\/2023\/SF0120\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SF0120<\/a>\u00a0allows \u201cany person who has previously pleaded guilty to or been convicted of committing or attempting to commit a felony that is not a violent felony and has not been pardoned or has not had the person\u2019s rights restored\u201d to possess a firearm five years after completing their sentence, probation or parole.<\/p>\n<p>According to the bill, violent felony includes murder, manslaughter, kidnapping, sexual assault, robbery, strangulation of a household member, aircraft hijacking, aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and arson.<\/p>\n<p>The bill also restores voting rights to those convicted of non-violent felonies.
