Pence Lays Out Pro-Second Amendment 4-Step Plan to Stop \u2018Scourge of Mass Shootings\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana \u2014 Former Vice President Mike Pence told Breitbart News exclusively here at the National Rifle Association (NRA) annual gathering earlier this month he has a four-step plan that is pro-Second Amendment to combat the \u201cscourge of mass shootings\u201d plaguing society right now.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think under the Biden Administration we\u2019ve seen a steady assault on all the God-given liberties enshrined in our Constitution\u2014freedom of religion, freedom of speech\u2014but there\u2019s no question that this administration has set its sights on the Second Amendment enshrined in the Constitution,\u201d Pence told Breitbart News. \u201cNow more than ever people that cherish the right to keep and bear arms need their voices to be heard. We need to elect leaders who will stand by our Constitution and stand by our God-given rights. We need to be educating the rising generation on the importance of all of our Bill of Rights\u2019 freedoms including the Second Amendment, but I think we\u2019ve got to lean into how to address this scourge of mass shootings.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his speech the NRA gathering moments later, Pence laid out some of these ideas\u2014but in his interview with Breitbart News backstage he went in depth explaining how gun control does not work and there are policies that American leaders can pursue both at the federal and at the state level that will work.<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n

\u201cIn the wake of the tragedy in the last week in Louisville and a short time ago in Nashville, Tennessee, the Biden Administration just reflexively returns to gun control and gun confiscation but the American people know better,\u201d Pence said. \u201cSome of the most violent cities in America have the most stringent gun control.
